I start my liquid diet on dec 10th and I bought a protein shake powder but it's gross. I need some suggestions please something affordable but good tasting also. Please help!!

I like Premier Protein 30g. box of 18 for 24.00 Cosco.

I had the same problem, every shake I tried was disgusting and would gag me. My doctor suggested mixing them with skim, soy or almond milk (I was using water). I have been using Almond Delight no sugar added with Unjury Chocolate Splendor and it actually tastes good. I'm also just making 4 ounces at a time which mentally helps me too, I just have to drink them 6 times a day instead of 3. But this way it's really only 4 or 5 swallows. I also like the chicken soup by unjury too. It's not bad. Bariatric Advantag has a latte flavored shake that's pretty decent, just don't mix with any of them with water. Today is my 10th day on the shakes. The first 3 days was the hardest and I still miss chewing. My surgery is Monday morning so I have a few more weeks to go on the shakes. Good luck to you, hopefully you will find a shake that you will enjoy.

Many have said Unjury is their fave. Have to order it. Pure protein from Publix in premix bottles is good and convenient to have. Good luck

I haven't found many protein mixes that I do like. Even some of the favorites on the board weren't doing it for me. The only one I love and look forward to is Syntrax peanut butter cookie! I mix it with unsweetened vanilla almond milk or skim milk and it actually tastes like a peanut butter cookie. Nashua Nutrition website offers the widest selection of samples I have found yet. I highly recommend ordering samples and trying them before committing to a large and expensive tub of protein powder that you might not enjoy.

Premier protein from Costco or SAMs has my vote. Chocolate specifically, I have spent a small fortune on powders only to find out that I don't like any of them, the premier protein chocolate is like drinking rich chocolate milk. The vanilla however was to sweet for me, ever since my surgery I cannot tolerate anything that tastes too sweet.

I agree with DJ. The Premier protein tastes great. I have also tried Atkins protein shakes and they are really good too. My husband uses ensure protein and i have to mix it w milk or soy milk sugar free, then it tastes great and curbs our hunger.

I like pure protein powder in vanilla and chocolate. You can get them on amazon.

FYI the vanilla premier shake, with a squirt of SF Davinci Carmel flavoring is to die for..... they are seriously keeping me going.

I like the Vega One powder - the chocolate is great, and it comes in sample packs so you can try before investing $30+ in a big tub. Also, for anyone else that's lactose intolerant as I am, be sure to check the ingredients -- some of the "whey" intensive ones are too "milk-y" for my digestive system, just a heads-up -- if you have Sprout's nearby, that's where I get mine, but I'm sure it's lots of other places and probably online as well...
