  1. Darla...I believe that is still considered "dumping". It doesn't just mean you are sitting on the toilet! :-) It is part of the whole process - at least that is what I've been learning!
  2. My understanding is if you are eating correctly....very low fat, very low sugar...no high carbs....you shouldn't be dumping! So ... what are you eating that is causing you to dump? As for me...I haven't dumped - I don't think! But...I'm pretty careful about what I'm eating. Although...for a team lunch just now, I did have some Olive Garden Minestrone Soup..... I hope it stays with me... in a good way! Christina

How fast do you drink your liquids?

I often feel exactly the same way!!!!!!!!!! I'm hoping and praying that at nearly 4 weeks I haven't stretched...I have WAY too much weight to lose!
  4. I can't go 5 hours.... I need to eat every 2.5 hours or so.... it's more about calories at this point. I wasn't eating enough... and I stalled two weeks out for two weeks so far!
  5. I would think it is a bit of dumping. Refried Beans from a Mexican restaraunt are loaded with fat! It might have taken longer for them to react... but there is a lot of fat in those beans...so I'm sure that is what it is. I like the black refried beans in the can (99% fat free) - with some Greek yogurt and cheese. YUMMY!
  6. Hi all! I had my surgery on November 4th. I didn't have as much pain or discomfort directly following, just routine soreness. BUT - I did have a lousy three days in the second week. I couldn't eliminate anything and then I threw up twice...followed by some extreme eliminating. Lots of pain involved. But once it was over, it was over! LOL It took me a long time to get my head wrapped around surgery, but once I did it was all downhill from there. I started the pre-op diet at my highest weight of 357 - SW was was 334 and today I was 319. I was stalled at 321 or so since 11/18 and it moved this morning. Hopefully it will continue because it gets really frustrating at 4 weeks out to know you've stalled already. I know I wasn't eating enough calories. So my Nut told me to eat more. Funny, no one has ever said that before! LOL What I struggle with now....is eating and drinking. I'm not sure I'm sipping - I don't actually know what that means... I'm not gulping...but I am drinking... if that makes sense. I also don't know if I'm eating too much. I'm really starting to get paranoid about eating.... I know I don't get 64 oz of Water in every day - but I do get in my Protein. Yesterday I had what "sleevers" call the foamies. I had a bit of a cramp in my belly, went to the bathroom - and got more pain while eliminating (watery as it has been for two weeks)....but then I started to throw up...nothing...I had nothing to throw up. So...foam/water My insides are sore today...and when I take a deep breath, it is even a little sore! I haven't really gotten into the habit of moving as in exercise, because the arthritis in my feet has been acting up since no more medicine! I'm rambling. Sorry. I just want to talk to people who get it. I need to move....and figure out how to eat! :-)

    vomiting

Hi! I had an episode yesterday morning that I found to be really weird. I had to go to the bathroom.... and so off I went...while eliminating I started throwing up. Now I had NOT eaten anything since the night before...I was heading to work with my Breakfast to eat at work (running late). I did this three times... and all I threw up was the Water I drank for my teeth brushing and then foam.... It was strange... ever have this issue? I also feel like I eat more than I should. I do get hungry. I had surgery on 11/4. I'm not sure that I chew everything up as small as it should be. It doesn't hurt...sometimes uncomfortable...and full feeling. I'm just so confused by my eating .... haven't gotten the hang of it yet. Christina

    I never feel full...

I'm not sure what I feel. This is an important topic for me. I am beginning my third week. Last week I had a horrible situation...probably dumping... but it was like 2.5 days of torture. Yesterday (TMI) I had the most painful BM I've ever had in the morning and then some residual looser stool in the evening. But I "think" I'm hungry. I get that "hunger" feeling. I eat then.. and feel better. I too am trying to only eat what I'm told. Quarter cup.... I have lost 14lbs since surgery - and the last 2 days...NOTHING. I even went up yesterday and back down today. Tell me what you all eat? What is your schedule like? Thanks so much!
