  1. Thanks, guys! I've been very diligent about what I'm eating, my water and protein, and this is making me crazy!!
  2. I had my sleeve surgery on April 2nd and for the past week or so I haven't lost any weight. I've been fluctuating within the same 1.5 lbs. Should I be worried?!?! I'm down about 40 lbs. from the day I started my pre-op diet. Suddenly I've stopped losing, and I'm drinking my 2 protein shakes and eating very little for dinner. Is this normal??
  3. I've been really depressed and emotional the last couple of days... I'm sure we will get through this... It only gets better!!!
  4. I had food funerals the last couple of days before my pre-Op diet... But once I started my diet I followed it strictly. I'm a week post-op and it's easier than I expected. Enjoy your food today, but remember that you aren't giving it up forever - you will eat the foods you love again, just not for awhile... And when we do get to eat them, we'll eat much less! ????
  5. I know exactly how you feel! I'm still on liquids post op, and I've never liked eggs, but found myself looking forward to being able to have scrambled eggs in the future as my fiancé made his breakfast... My brain is messing with me!
  6. I was absolutely terrified last Thursday morning before my surgery, and it wasn't nearly as bad as I anticipated and I'm only 5 days out but feeling a little better every day When I checked into the hospital, I told my surgeon I was really anxious and they gave good drugs... Don't suffer - tell them you're nervous!!!
  7. I'm battling the same feelings! I was sleeved 4/2, and I think it's because my fiancé has been eating amazing smelling stuff all day. I keep telling him to go ahead and I'm fine, but today was rougher than any day so far.
  8. I'm home and doing well... Still pretty sore, but I'm only 2 days out. I spent 2 nights in the hospital because I experienced a lot of nausea, but am feeling better today, just soreness mainly. Sucking on ice chips, and have been trying to walk more... Just did another 5 minutes on the treadmill (at a whopping 1.0 mile per hour) but I'm up and moving. Thanks for all the positive wishes!!!
  9. On my way to the hospital for my sleeve surgery... Kind of nervous now that it's here!!!
  10. My surgery is scheduled for Thursday morning. I've been in a pre-op diet since last Monday and lost 10 lbs. so far. It hasn't been nearly as tough as I expected. Tonight I had to present at an event and as I was walking out, there was a table with Cookies & refreshments. My coworker grabbed cookies, and without even thinking, so did I. thankfully my brain woke up and was like, "seriously? What are you doing?!" Thankfully I didn't take a bite - didn't even think, just acted out of habit. WARNING: Lady parts issue ahead! So I get home tonight and I just started my period a week early, TWO days before surgery. Anyone else have this happen? Is it a problem for surgery?
  11. Congratulations!!! Glad you're doing so well!!! My surgery is Thursday ????
  12. I wonder if you could mix protein powder in jello? Anyone know?
  13. I'm so inspired by how well you are doing!!! My surgery is a week from today ????
  14. I'm on my fourth day and it's actually going pretty well. I'm drinking premier protein shakes, eating Popsicles & jello and drinking lots of water... The first couple days were harder, today I haven't really felt hungry much ????
  15. Thank you for sharing you journey! I also am a school counselor and my surgery is one week from today... Stories like yours are so inspiring!!!
  16. It seems like the last three weeks have flown by for me!
  17. My surgery is scheduled for next Thursday, April 2nd ????
  18. I'm scheduled for surgery on April 2nd and started my pre-op diet on Monday. Technically it was to begin 7-10 days before surgery, but I went with 10 because I have a fatty liver and figured it couldn't hurt, right?! So far I'm doing okay with it... I like the premier protein shakes. I've had both the chocolate and vanilla... Let me rephrase that, I don't LIKE them, but I tolerate them. I don't really drink milk or anything shaky normally, so it's more of a texture thing than taste. My fiancé loves them! Has anyone tried the nectar powders in water?
  19. Thanks! I am roller coaster of emotion as I prepare to start my pre-surgery diet tomorrow. ????
  20. April 2nd here... I'm a nervous mess, too! Mainly just the about the actual surgery and unknowns are freaking me out ????
  21. My surgery is scheduled for April 2nd (in Michigan). ????
