  1. I put my gym clothes on first thing in the morning and it motivates me to make sure I go to the gym. Plus I started a mom and kid stroller walk on Saturdays since I live near a nice paved trail and moms always want others to talk to.
  2. Congrats and you look so beautiful. I'm happy for you and your progress. I'm getting offline for a lil while cause I'm not losing and I'm thinking I just need to stop thinking about it for awhile! GREAT job everyone!
  3. I think you were beautiful before with your lovely family but you are looking so healthy and happy now that you are glowing with beauty inner and outer. Great progress, you are inspiring to those of us who aren't quite there yet!
  4. I get head hunger like a crazy animal every month for a week or so. I just give in a lil and then move on. I'm not going to throw my whole body or plan out of wack. So I have a tiny bit and move on and if I really pig out I just go to the gym the next day and work it off and realize I can't do that cause I've worked too hard and come to far for THAT other person "me" to go back to where I was. Stay strong!
  5. My opinion is that is you stick to the plan and eat properly and get in the minimal workouts you could possibly lose anywhere from 15-20 lbs. I feel saying that cause it is the average amount most have lost. Granted 5-7 lbs will be water weight but still,,,,,good luck and I'm sure you will have a beautiful wedding and be a beautiful bride!
  6. so I don't know about you ladies but my monthly cycles were really off and CRAZY heavy so I called my surgeon and he told me since I was having rapid weight loss to go see my ob/gyn and get the depo shot to hold off my periods until I was almost at goal and my body would regulate again. So I went today and I have pcos which is not uncommon but she is like hey you are just bleeding to bleed you are not able to ever get pregnant again cause your uterus is twice the normal size ect ect ect. Great, awesome, oh that explains the slow weight loss and who knows what else...good thing is I did get my shot and shouldn't get my monthly anymore. Ugh just annoying!
  7. You know I was really stalling out and thought man what in the heck is going on? So I talk to my surgeon, my nut and my trainer and even though 90% of the time I never go over 1000 calories myself they said I need to go a little higher sometimes to break that stall. So for two days I ate 1500 calories introduced some carbs that I would not normally and took off three days from the gym and when I got back on track and broke though that stall. It was kinda torture to miss the work outs and eat some thing but it was worth it cause nothing is more annoying and disheartening then hitting a stall when you are doing so well! Good luck!
  8. I have said to myself so many times geez did I do the right thing? I wish so many other those days that I wish I could eat a regular meal and not feel sick and then drink something during my meals so my mouth doesn't get dry then I walk by my closet and see my fat jeans staring me in the face and remember, man I definitely made the right choice. I'm healthier, stronger and so much more happy since I started. Hang in there and you too will come the the conclusion like most of us did, that it is soooo worth it! Good luck and stay strong!
  9. Hey leggings and jeggings are my new best friend and I love them. I don't care a hoot what people think I should or should not be wearing I've worked hard to look this good in them and I will rock them if I want to, you look great and hope when I'm as close to goal as you are I look just as great!
  10. @@Aprilhoffman78 wow your progress is great and I'm so happy for you having lost all that weight and hit goal is such a small amount of time. I love buy jeans when I've lost some weight great reward!@@mduffield Thanks for the encouragement, I'm trying not to even focus on it this journey has just been so long and hard already that after years of messing up and regaining ect. I just want to win for once. I'll push through. Venting here helps cause no one else in my life understands what its like to work so hard and not always have it go my way! have a GREAT week guys and you are all my strength!
  11. So it's kinda been a bummer of a week I lost some weight and since I'm trying really hard to lose 30 lbs by November I felt like I was doing so GOOD I only had one more pound to lose til September the average of 10 lbs a month. So I've been working out with my trainer and doing really great on my eating and then 3 days again boom up 4 lbs. I tried not to stress said oh its water weight no big deal. Cut out ALL the sodium in my diet. This morning up 2 lbs from that. So upsetting to the point I wanted to say forget it, I'm putting the scale away for the week and just going to focus but man it is really a downer.
  12. maybe you have an impaction. That's kinda why I recommended the peri colace it has a stool softener and a stimulate. I've been there and done that and it semi traumatized me cause I was being a baby about it. Good luck!
  13. I just took it yesterday and I did not experience any problems. I would say yes why not. If not that try peri colace.
  14. I didn't but everyone is different. My husband took off only the hospital time to care for the kids. You aren't going to want to lift your children up for a lil while but if they are a lil older I can't imagine how you would be greatly impacted. Good luck!
  15. I stalled for a month. So frustrating and I thought what was I doing wrong? Nothing my body just needed some time to adjust and I also realized I was eating ENOUGH for as much as I worked out. So take that into consideration. I was only eat 400-500 calories a day and worked out 6 days a week and not some light jogging or walking either. So I upped my calories and really focused on getting the right types of food in and it broke my stall. Just hand in there. our body's our mysterious things
  16. I don't know if I would say 400 calories a day is horrible since I was on a clear liquid diet for two weeks post op. hang in there I hope you figure out where to get your Protein in.
  17. If I was you just call a salon and ask for a master hair dressing I'm sure they will know what is best they handle everything. I have stopped dying my hair and cut it from my butt to my jawline as of today so I can manage the hair loss and also not have to worry about the color treatments as much, Almost forgot I had jet black hair. Good lucK
  18. I personally said to my spouse hey I got this surgery to be a better wife and mom to our family. I need you to do the same, I told him the benefits or eating right and instead of making him feel bad I told him how great he looked just after 5lbs, He has lost 20 so far. I just don't enable bad eating habits but cooking most of the time and trying not to bring it in the house so no one gets tempted by it. I hope you figure it out and have a healthy journey together.
  19. My first one was SOOOO bad it was heavy and I thought I was dying. Then I skipped two months and this month I got it super early and really really heavy. I talked to my gyn and she said when you have rapid weight loss that it can through off your hormones and reak havoc with your cycle. I got the depo shot and said I'll deal with my cycle when I'm done with my main weight loss. Good luck to you
  20. lol in order to "stretch" your pouch, you'd have to be consistently over eating. Once or twice is not going to do that to you. Just like the stomach you had previous before. You did not add the weight on in over a week or two it took years. Its all about portion control and self control. It's a hard road to take but I tell people if you had a real addiction to food no shame in getting some help. I go to OA meetings every week. I work out every day but Saturday I log everything even if its bad and I tell myself its ok to mess up but get it together and make it right tomorrow. I'm not ashamed of who I was, I'm proud to know I had the brains and logic to stop the cycle now and get better! Enjoy this experience and don't let it get your down!
  21. I have type 2 and I have not had much problems with weight loss except for the occasional stall. I really watch my carb intake though and for the first two month checked my sugar so often in fact after every meal I ate to see what I could and could not eat. Good luck to everyone!
  22. Do you ever consider maybe just tweeting your diet and trying to really get back into basics to jump start some real weight loss. I too lose weight sooooo slow but I found out that with me basically carbs are just the devil with my body and I have to really work out. Which I can't say I'm that bummed about. I loathe working out but I'm kinda happy I'm not just going to be thinner but healthier. I did a lil experiment with myself. I ate how I had been and checked the scale once or twice a week for a month and realized that I did not have any weight loss. Then I decided let me cut back on some carbs and really focus on my weight loss again. In two weeks I dropped 7lbs. So I now know my issue. I hope you find your groove. Good luck!
  23. Getting a seat belt extender for the airplane was a worry for me and then feeling like I was embarrassing my kids when I picked them up for school. Not being able to sit at a booth when that was all that was left to sit at.
  24. Personal experience don't listen to them all the time. Its just a check up and if you do well with smaller meals then you do what is best for you. I too eat three meals a day and 2-3 snacks. My Nut said as long as my snacks aren't carb loaded and are made with the awareness they are just a SNACK then it is ok. I tend to get hungry every couple of hours myself. I'm like you when someone makes a negative comment and just turn back to my old eating habits. I think it is because I'm in control of my bad eating habits and since I can't control others opinions of me I just eat. So dumb but I do it. Keep your head up and listen to your own body. Everyone is different.
  25. I sooo miss buffalo wings but since I can't eat and drink at the same time I just won't eat them anymore. Its sad cause I can smell them sometimes when I go past my local pizza place! I think i'll live though!
