I'm scared I'll be saggy....
Oh my thought the week before my surgery...I'm so scared about having saggy skin. Then again I'm more scared to die of a heart attack and other horrible diseases due to my overweight issues. So I jumped on the surgery table and took the saggy skin!. Saggy skin can be fixed but one you are gone, thats it baby! Good luck to you!

Do you allow yourself any healthy splurges?
I make a mozzarella dip and have it with a tortilla chip or two. The dip is low is carbs and 4-5 chips is the most I can handle so I don't feel too guilt but it is a lovely cheat or treat!

January Sleevers ❄️
Well I'm back cause I FINALLY broke that stall I was having. Took a lot out of me emotionally to be in that one for so long. I didn't want to whine about it in the thread so I just dealt with it and came back when I broke it. I went back and did my pre op diet and worked out twice a day for 5 days to finally break it but I needed it. I was slipping slowly back into old habits with the carbs. I also spent a week realizing what I problem will not be able to eat anymore and have to make some forever changes to my diet. One 90% of meats are out for me. Fish is fine but most beef, chicken and definitely pork is out for me. I eat it and it just sits on my stop not matter how I intake it. Also NO fast food whats so ever. I have eaten a kids meal from some of my "favorite" places and I have gotten sick each and every time. No chocolate either, it upsets my GERD to a whole nothing level. I know some people were asking why are you eating these things anyways. Cause I choose to and and I wasn't going to say that I never was again. Now I know what I can handle. Well there is my update! Hope everyone is doing well and having a great work week!

January Sleevers ❄️
Taking time away from the site. I have nothing new to report and to be honest. I'm a whats now going on a three week stall. In fact I even gain 7lbs. I don't have a clue how and I thought it was water weight but I've been flushing my system with water enough to know it is not. I just need to go back to basics and do a pouch test. So when I break my stall I'll be back!

Stalls are so weird....I know when I'm going to hit a stall cause I gain two lbs and and then stall out for two weeks and then go back down again. Every 10 lbs like clock work. Its so annoying but at least now I can tell when I'm going to hit on and just not get all emotional about it. I would of NEVER lost this much weight without my surgery so I don't even worry about the stalls or lack of food anymore. I hope everyone had a productive weekend!

Emotional Eating
You know I've been there. I'm a terrible emotional eater. If I get mad or sad especially. I go to a food addiction group and believe me it really helps to be with others who know and understand what you are going through. You might what to consider trying something like that or going to a therapist. Cause surgery will help slow down the eating but not take awa the urges. Stay strong and know that there are tons of people on this site alone who struggle with it as well. I hope you do what is best for you and good luck!

Is strength training slowing my loss?
Actually having muscle is much better since muscle burns fat better. I'm proud of you and you are doing an awesome job. Keep up the awesome weight loss. I'm losing the same way. It was faster before the strength training with my trainer but it is better for you body and you will be pleased that you did so.

Meat tolerance
I love vegan burgers and chicken patties and they are loaded with Protein. With so many options it is great to know that you can have Breakfast patties and sausage links and crumbles to put into pastas ect.

Meat tolerance
I can't most red meats. They sit like a brick or I throw them up. I can handle lean ground beef but very lil of it. No ham or most chicken unless canned for some reason. I get my Protein in with eggs, cheese and fish. Good luck I know it is soooo hard to get in the protein with not having most meats on the table.

Stomach Fat...?
Yea definitely not close to goal yet. I just wanted to see if I was the only one experiencing this or is anyone had some good advice on how to kinda get my stomach to go does with everything else. Yes I do a lot of core exercises. In fact I work out 5 days a week and with a trainer twice a week and I do yoga and Pilates on my own. I only eat for emotional reasons and that's why I need to see some results in my stomach. I'm going to keep chugging along and do everything I can but it never hurts to ask right?!

200 lbs or more to lose?
Bravo to both of you who need to lose so much, to be brave and come here and just lay it out on the table. I have noticed that when I came on here to I was a lil bit more on the heavier side and felt self conscious about it but what the heck that is what this site is for. I shouldn't feel ashamed that I need the support or help of others to get my life back since my way wasn't working for me. I hope you guys really enjoy your journey and new life that lays ahead of you. I don't regret it one day and I'm so grateful to the people on this site who have helped me through the tough and emotional days when I had no one else to turn to!

One month out! Need to take some pictures...
I take a pic every month so I remember and see how its going. I just posted my 3 month and even though I don't see the difference I know one day I will and will be glad I took them. I avoided the camera like the plague and now I just don't care cause that person is not me anymore!

Stomach Fat...?
So this is just a question for anyone in general. I feel like I have had really great weight loss results and I'm happy in so many ways with my surgery. I think that I'm having some self confidence issues cause I seem to be holding onto fat in my stomach hard core. I have hardly lost any inches in that area. I know that I have been losing in the most ridiculous places. My feet, fingers, shoulders, collarbone and ugh boobs. Just not in the stomach area. I have a trainer, I work out a lot, watch my diet and still just nothing. With this being said I got emotional today and grazed all day and ate over 1000 calories. So I was wondering if anyone had any tips or advice that they are willing to give to me to help with my stubborn spot. We aren't doctors I just want some opinions for people who actually have or many be going through this! Thanks in advance!

January Sleevers ❄️
Thanks for the insight. I actually saw my NUT and my doctor today cause I had a session with my trainer and almost passed out again. My doctor said it is from a imbalance with my salts. Since I had WLS I completely revamped my diet and gave up most sodium and 90% of drinks with any caloric value cause I don't want to waste calories on it. I don't take any medications expect insulin so I'm ok otherwise. I had full blood work and I will get that back Friday but mostly they think it is due to lack of certain minerals and Vitamins and the natural sodium my body needs for a healthy work out. So both suggested that I eat up to 900-1000 calories a day if possible since I work out about 2-3 hours a day 4 days a week and when I'm not working out just stay within the range of about 600-700. It should help with my issue along with drinking a gatorade or an electrolyte drink before, during and after workout!

January Sleevers ❄️
I'm experiencing extreme dizziness while working out. Is anyone else getting this. Today with my trainer I passed out and felt really sick. He thinks it is lack of food and what not but I'm not really sure. I'm going to see my Nut on Friday and will talk about it with her but until then was just looking for a lil insight! I dont want that to happen again.

Movie time
well glad you didn't eat the popcorn but the frappe isn't good either loaded with sugar. I read a story on here that hit home for my food addiction. You will no matter what lose the weight at first but if you don't change your eating habits and learn to eat right from the get go you will gain it back. So I hope you do whats best for you and good luck in your journey. It is a hard road to go but if you just do it right it is worth it!

Cheating and how to overcome cravings pre-op?
I had a 21 day pre op diet that was liquids only and my goodness was it HARD. I cried a few times and was really mad when people around me ate solid foods but I made the choice to eat the bad foods to cause the weight gain and this is a choice to fix it. I would not beat yourself up about it if you still have 2 weeks to go. I think you should speak to you NUT again and let them know you are having some terrible head hunger and texture cravings they might have some suggestions for you to either one emotionally work through it or two have something you can eat/drink that will help with those cravings. Good luck and stay strong we've all been there!

Easter error :(
Well good thing you recognized the cheat. Be careful and don't bet yourself up. I don't care what most people say...I cheated once while in that first stage. I didn't chomp a cow or anything but I had soup with noodles in it! Just be safe and try to do your best to stick to the stages and no cause yourself personal injury since you are still healing. Wish you the best of luck!

January Sleevers ❄️
Well I'm happy you had the confidence to go without a scale and just wing it. I do not have that discipline in my life. I like the scale. Even if it does not move they way I want it to. I do not rely on just the inches off my body. I have set a goal for myself and need to see it through, otherwise for me I have wasted the time and money to get my surgery. I'm jealous of those who just can go on their weight loss journey and just wing it. I can't wing it. I need my food scale, my body scale, my food journal and whatever other tool I can use. I tried doing it without those tools before and I ended up at 310. I don't have any health problems except for diabetes and I've had that since before I was even remotely overweight so I can't even go based on that alone. I'm definitely not obsessed with my scale any more but until I'm more comfortable with my new lifestyle that scale and me are going to be friends! Thank you Kindle for giving us the insight though as to how liberating it can feel though. I hope I can wake up one day and just say eh I feel good and don't need to know the number! That will be something I need to work to.

January Sleevers ❄️
So I just got back from the gym with my trainer. I puked, it was horrible. I guess I was drinking to much water cause it was a really intense workout and suddenly felt sick. I hate this feeling like I can't get it together. I'll be hurting tomorrow but hopefully it will allow me to see a result soon. I hate my stomach is looking the same! @@suesleeved that is AWESOME to here. Ugh I'm so jealous of you guys who will hit that way before me!

Grazers Unite!
Depending on my day. I still can graze. I ended up joining a food addiction group cause I want to get a grasp on it and it has REALLY helped. Guess only advice I can give it that you went through all this to have a lifestyle change why not make the best of it. It is so hard to cut out those types of habits but I definitely recommend it. You will lose the weight but can gain it back if you do not learn how to have good solid eating habits. Wish you the best of luck!

Single and wanted to introduce myself
Well I will tell you to edit your pic and make it smaller and that will fix the upside down factor! Good luck and welcome and great weight loss so far!
