How did you get rid of your

I have been overweight since high school but was lucky enough to not have a fuller face & neck. At age 40 that all changed. I quit smoking and added 60 lbs on an already obese body. My face, chin and neck became huge. It bothered me more than my big ole stomach. It has slimmed down quite a bit and I am thrilled ???? I am gonna kiss the sky as much as I can !! LOL

    Name Your Sleeve!

These are great ! Now I need to find a name for my sleeve. Hmmmm ...
  4. Very sharp haircut !!
  5. I promised to post and let the other PatchMD vitamin patch users know how my labs came out. They are right on themoney other than my Vitamin D being a little low. I see the Endocronologist on Friday and I'm sure she will advise me on what additional supplements I need to add to my daily routine. I am so glad they are getting the job done !!!
  6. That stinks !! I just ordered for the 3rd time last week. I hope they didn't remove the offer ????
  7. They always offer 40% off by using the coupon code PMD40 ... Next order you will get 40% off ????
  8. How's it going ? Haven't seen you on the forum for awhile ...

  11. My pre op labs showed iron and vitamin D deficiencies. Not uncommon for a woman of my age. I was a huge supplement advocate pre op and and continue to be post op. Can't hurt is how is see it.

    Acid battle.. Advice?

That's terrible and I sure hope you find some relief. I also take 40mg of omeprazole and it does the trick.

    Wine

I have a drink maybe once a year if that, so it's never been an issue for me. I am lucky there. I also gave up soda 9 months preop. I only do decaf tea now because coffee makes me nauseous (used to love it). You will be surprised what you think you can't live without really isn't that important anymore.

    Anyone tried this?

I have tried it a few times. I need to branch out more with flavors & textures. I whip up the same batch of protein shakes each day. Decaf coffee crystals & vanilla Unjury with a tsp of cocoa powder. I may do a banana caramel now and then.
  17. Thanks everyone !! My brain gets mushy now & then ☹
  18. I am having a difficult time finding the proper portion sizes to add to my fitness pal food diary. It does not allow me for most foods to add a tsp or tbsp or 1/4 cup etc... I just can't get accurate info. It just isn't set up for WLS patients ? We eat so little and in my opinion, it should begin at a tsp. Or maybe I'm just a big dummy and can't figure it out ?? Haha

    3 days post op

Very little. I was focused on walking and fluids in the very beginning. In time, you will reach your protein goal. It is a full time job getting it all down at first. I'm 9 weeks post op and my new normal is awesome !! Good luck ????
  20. It does give many portions sizes/choices, just none that would apply to a WLS patient. I cannot possibly eat a cup or 1/2 cup of certain foods. I would love the option to pick and choose each portion size is all. Oh well ????

    Unjury Protein

I really like it. It's all I use. I add lots of different things to make the taste and smell barely even noticeable. My favorite is decaf instant coffee and unsweetened cocoa with skim milk and vanilla Unjury.
  22. I do not take any additional calcium but I do take iron, Biotin, fish oil with Omega 3 & Vitamin D orally. My Vitamin D & iron were both low prior to surgery. I have my labs done again in December so I think that will be the true test.
  23. You will do great and the pre op diet goes fast !! It is the very best decision I have ever made !! HW 324 SW 303 Current weight 263 ???????? Date of surgery 8/17/15
  24. Met with endocrinologist last week and I posted about my vitamin levels being pretty good so far but my protein levels are low. Not dangerously low, but she was concerned. I was flabbergasted because I get at least 80 gms in a day. She asked how many carbs I was eating Per day and I get under 25 gms per day. She said I need to do 75 gms per day or my weight loss will slow down because I don't eat enough carbs for my body to burn fat. It is hard to get all my protein in and fluid and now to try and get 75 grams of carbs ?? How am I gonna manage this ? ????anyone else have similar issue ?
