  1. @@Sexy Granny - when was your surgery? If "fried" is the common variable, with vomiting, maybe you should find other foods to eat....
  2. I was overnight, but I think it depends on doctor and how well you do post-op (drinking/walking/able to urinate) etc.
  3. @@thenewandbestme - its been a week wheres the new after pic?
  4. @@BranMo103 - sorry to hear about the break up (esp the dog leaving - WTF?) but if she cant deal... then its better for you if she goes now. Get out of the house - walk, ride a bike, etc... Don't sit in the house waiting for her to leave, not cool :/ I have same req for work and had surgery on a Wed and went back to work the Monday following. I tried to not lift anything too heavy but forgot a couple of times and felt it so be careful when you do go back. Focus on YOU and getting everything you need to kick this tool into gear. The gurgling I noticed more when I was still on liquid or puree diet. You are doing great -28lbs already! My HW was 282 and I am thrilled to be looking at 10/12 jeans that are in my closet - enjoy the ride ~
  5. @@Restoration15 - do you still regret it now? It has been two months now and by now most are back on track. Is your hypoglycemia under control now? jane
  6. @@feedyoureye - I think I will be coming here forever - it will keep me "on track" thanks for sharing this info~
  7. @@BLERDgirl - thanks for filling me in on the use of ACV. I drink a lot of lemonade (Wylers - low calorie) too.
  8. @@usedtobeaskater - do what the doctor says to do. What were you doing to possibly develop a hair line fracture? At least it wasn't a clot, and there are exercises that can be done while sitting.
  9. @@LosingSomeLisa - I just located this part of BP. I was sleeved the same day as well. our stats are pretty close. How are you doing now? Is the weight loss slowing for you too?
  10. @@GAC - me too! How are you doing, almost 7 months post.
  11. @@BLERDgirl - why do you take it ACV? I am curious because I have heard mixed reasons for taking it. By the way - I love your responses - I read and "like" because I am afraid I may make someone develop "butthurtitis"
  12. @@BranMo103 - How are you doing now????
  13. @@kristenkek - I added the unflavored powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury Protein to food that didn't have a lot of protein. Hydrate, protein, vitamins and keep moving! @@lorri716 - Miralax is my new "bestie" I had the exact same problem the EXTRA Iron vitamin/less veggies in my diet = constipation
  14. @@sleevingbeauty17 - keep us posted!
  15. @@gsusser - are you sleeping a little elevated?
  16. @@Originalityplus - I would contact your doctor if you feel uncomfortable (constipated). I was told to not wait too long (being constipated) as it would make matters worse. But I tend to feel the same as you. There is a lot of liquids you consume those first few weeks post-op that probably do pass through your bladder vice your intestines. That being said, now the issues post-op is bouts of not being able to go because I do not eat as much veggies. I was told I could use Miralax - my new bestie
  17. @@Craig Wildi - I think the worst for me was actually getting up and lying back into the bed the first couple of days. I didn't have any nausea/vomiting post-op. I did find that if I sat on the bed and laid to my side first then rolled to my back it was easier getting in/out of bed. I quit the RXs a day or so after being home and only used maybe two nights worth to make sure I could sleep. I went OTC during the day. I really haven't noticed any "pain" and I am almost 7 months post-op. My bellybutton did itch like crazy and then I realized 80% of my stomach left thru my BB. I had no idea... Good luck!
  18. @@JudeaJordon - I agree with the OP, maybe you need to get some BW done sooner and make sure you get the vitamins in as well. Are you on BP meds? Mine made me extremely sleepy after -25 to -30 lbs. Maybe you need to look at that angle too.
  19. @@nfjchester - just a thought... Since the Bariatric center you are looking into says they have done this kind of surgery on other Paras - maybe you could ask them if they could give your number to some post WLS patients. Maybe they would share their experiences.
  20. @@nfjchester - welcome to the BP family. I hope you are looking throughout the website here for other folks who may be able to give you some insight. Keep us posted. jane
  21. @@jdj52 - Congrats! and good luck. I am not there yet, maybe by spring.
  22. @@stephh - 191 yesterday morning - 12 to go!
  23. @@Elode you got this!!! You know cigs were bad mojo, the popsicles are being exchanged, Beans & cornbread (yummy) are on the stove....all is good. Now - surgery. Wiring your mouth shut??? Jeez, glad I just settled for a Lexus! That's EXTREME WLS!!!! haha I would have to get with my WLS and ask their take on what to do. You are pretty SKINNY now Lookout Wendys (frosty & hot FFs!) & DQ (butterfinger blizzards)!
  24. @@@lici@ my stomach still makes noises! I am almost 7 months post. I use Miralax with my doctors permission. ask your doctor what they recommend. the funny feeling maybe reflux? I didn't have problems with that, others have.
