  1. Venting here!!! So I'm a bit bummed out. I'm down 80 lbs, which I think is great! But today 2 people asked how I was doing and when I told them I'm down 80#'s one said, "wow you're losing it slowly" and the other said "that's it?! Slowly but surely you'll eventually lose it!" Wtf seriously?! Granted, I want to lose a total of 170 lbs, but I'm almost half way there after 4 months and a week! People can be such jerks!

  2. Yeah I think I should begin logging as well. =/ I still have another 96 lbs I want to lose. My weightloss is starting to slow down a bit, and I'm scared I won't reach my goal. I think my best bet would be logging again. My days are so hectic I sometimes forget to eat/ drink, then I get a bunch of Water in right before bed, and I'll be up peeing all night =/

  3. Hey @@MamyBeth! Sleeved same day as you. Down 76 lbs, feeling great, full of energy, except I don't sleep much and my hair is falling out too =( I take 10,000mcg of Biotin daily, and my recommended Vitamins, haven't been drinking nearly enough Water or taking in my recommended Protein lately. Water makes me gag, as of late, so I've been putting lemon in it recently, and it's helped me get in around 40 oz a day.. not bad, but not great.

  4. I did. What I actually did was go back to just liquids and did that for 2 weeks, then full liquids for two weeks, and soft solids for 3 weeks, before advancing to solids afterwards. I actually had misunderstood the process. My Dr required 2 weeks on each stage before advancing to the next, and I moved on to full liquids before I was ready, and had to start over because my tummy just wasn't ready.

  5. I almost backed out the night before surgery. I'm glad I didn't. Almost 4 months out, and down 76 lbs, it's one if the best decisions I ever made. I take very small sips of Water with my food, just enough to wet my tongue. I eat whatever I want, since the portion I can actually eat is so tiny. I have drank some soda, through a straw, and found that it made me very gassy(thankfully I was never one to drink soda often). 3 years ago, I had thought about getting the surgery, then decided to give dieting one last chance. I went from 368 to 211in 9 months...within a year and a half, I was back up to 342, size 22/24 pants, borderline diabetic, with high bp, hypothyroidism and high cholesterol. Now I'm almost 4 months out, down to 266, 14/16 pants, no high bp or cholesterol, and my sugar and thyroid are much better! I couldn't have done it without my sleeve!!!

  6. I didn't have a pre-op diet. My Dr said I could do it, for myself, if I wanted to, but he only required me to cut back my calorie intake a few days before surgery. He said most Dr's put you on a pre-op diet so that you don't go into dispare after surgery, being that you have to do liquids for 2 weeks. Some say they do it to shrink your liver before surgery, but the amount it shrinks in 2 weeks is not significant enough to make a difference. I put myself on a liquid diet for three days before surgery, it helped me get accustomed to the liquid phase. And I lost 9 lbs!

  7. You look awesome!! I'm nowhere near goal yet, but down 69 lbs since surgery a little over 3 months ago. I always hated seeing my passing reflection on the street. The other day I had to back up and look again because I couldn't believe it was me!!! It is definitely weird, but great, seeing myself shrink!
