  1. I too am having this port pain, it's very annoying. How long does it last?
  2. I am just full of questions tonite, I am going to Disney in 2 weeks and just had surgery 1 week ago yesterday. Do you think I will be OK to ride some rides and doing the walking and waterpark thing that goes with this type of vacation? Not to mention flying?
  3. Hello all, I had my 1 week post-op visit today and I am down 21 pounds (Yeah) I really don't feel it yet, I guess because I am still swollen, but hopefully by next week I will. Of course I forgot to ask my doctor a question today, so I will ask you guys. Where exactly is the port? Is it in the largest incesion? and is it suppose to feel like a lump? Your responses are appreciated? Thanks
  4. I too was stitched internally, it's only been 4 days since my surgery and I am already itching like crazy. And everyone tells me it's a sign of healing. Good luck with the itches!!!
  5. Hello Everyone, the monster inside me has settled down, it is 4 days after surgery and I am feeling good, the cravings for those pretzels I wanted has subsided a bit and I am looking forward to some cream of wheat tomorrow. So far I have lost 11 pounds (WOW) It feels so good when you get on that scale and the pounds are dropping. So it's only been liquid diet thus far and it was hard the first few days, but it is getting easier. Last night I was feeling a little hungry and decided to have some SF Jello, but I added a little whipped cream to it and it made the world of difference. So if your in a rut, try it, mix it in and it will taste better. For the most part I am feeling great, I was going to go back to work today, but decided to take one more day to get some stuff done around the house and rest up a little more. Only thing that is driving me crazy now are the incesions, they itch like crazy. Well Bye for now!!!!
  6. I am from South Jersey and my Doc. was Dr. Samir Patel with Atlantic City Medical Center. He is wonderful as was the care in the hospital. Thanks for all of your responses!!!
  7. Hello I am new to this, I just had my surgery on the 4th. and I feel pretty good with the exception of my insides sounding like there is a monster in there. Is this normal? also I have a pain in my upper right shoulder blade when I lay on it, what is that? I was having regrets up until I signed on to this website and started reading some of the posts. I so wanted to just chew on a pretzel yesterday and just spit it out, but I was scared. I have been on the clear liquid thing and it's not fun, but I didn't do this to have fun, I did it to loose weight to be a healthier person for myself, my husband and my kids, I cannot wait to ride a rollercoaster with them!!! I also have had diarrhea since the surgery anyone experience this? Any info you can give me is greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!:cheeky
