    Surgery soon!♡♥♡♥♡

I went and motored through a huge prime rib 5 days before my surgery! I survived. I absolutely can't imagine ever doing it again,..but that's OK. I haven't regretted the surgery for a minute. Now three months out, I have turned a corner and don't feel as nautious after eating as I did for the first 12 weeks. I am so grateful. 50% down on my medications. That was my goal, no more meds!!

    One more week!

Just be prepared for the painful bloated feeling you get in your lower abdomen area. I had no idea what it was but I had to have morphine for 24 hours. Everything else was a piece of cake, as they say. The only thing now, 8 weeks post op, is that I absolutely cannot have more than a half a cup of anything or I feel nautious. Horrible feeling for an hour or two. Kind of like morning sickness, nothing sounds, good, nothing tastes good. But last 3 days, I have been doing better. I don't regret a minute though.

    Protein

How on earth can I get 40 to 80 grams of Protein each day? I am lucky if I get 20 to 30. I just read where someone was getting 100 grams a day!!!!! How do they do that?

    Regret?

5 weeks post op...I was sooooo ready to do it....I have never had a moment of regret. Already off 3 of my former meds...My legs don't hurt when I climb steps and I seem to bounce through the day.
  6. 5 weeks post surgery By Pass. I wake in the morning feeling great...as the day goes on, I feel more and more as though I have morning sickness ( impossible to be pregnant so don't go there). Nothing sounds good to eat and nothing sounds good to even drink. Never hungry and never thirsty. Does this even get better? Will I get back to actually feeling hungry. Believe me, I have the portion down. Never eat more than 1/2 a cup of anything. By nighttime, I am pretty much horizontal. Need some hope peeps...

    Just had surgery 12/10.

I am 4 weeks out and I had the same experience. I even told my Surgeon, I don't believe he did anything other than put 5 band aids on my stomach. So now, although I don't feel hungry or thirsty, I eat no more than half a cup of anything at a time. If I go over, I feel as though I have morning sickness. But honestly, the surgery was a non event.
  8. Need advice. I have By pass surgery scheduled for tues...Waited for this day for several years. I now have a head cold...Will it mean my surgery gets postponed??? I have everything ready including vacation time, pets taken care of, no food in the house, mentally ready...I REALLY don't want to have it rescheduled. Do I fess up??
