    Any February Sleevers

@@mdlange Yes, I have started the pre-op diet. It really isn't too bad, although I've had a headache for two days. The dietician said that should go away after three days.

    Less activity

Hey- I am 62 and will have my sleeve surgery in February. I am having some illogical doubts lately. I think about the future and think well.....what if we have a severe depression, the economy goes south and vitamins become hard to get- then what? Or I think what if food becomes scarce and can't get enough protein? Mildly frightening survivalist stuff, which I've never been troubled by before! I think it is probably just the usual pre -surgery jitters manifesting themselves in unusual thoughts. Oh boy!

    Any February Sleevers

Well......I had all my appointments( Nut x2, Psych x2, blood work, sleep study) finished by the end of November. I then needed to finish telephone consults per my insurance company- that was finished December 23. I saw my surgeon on January 12th. Paper work submitted to insurance last week so- just waiting for their approval to come through. Pre-op meeting Jan.22nd. So the nurse said I could have surgery 2/3, 2/10, or 2/24 depending on when we hear from the insurance company. I will have to start my two week pre-surgery diet when I definitely have my date. I guess February is the magic month!

    Anyone from Minnesota

I am still waiting for a surgery date. I will have my surgery at St. Joseph's in St. Paul with Dr. Koeplin. Haven't met him yet except for the introductory information meeting. I hope he's good! I have met with the bariatrician, nurse, dietition, psychiatrist, sleep study, blood work and the required five Health Partners phone consults. Now I have to wait to see the surgeon in mid-January, then wait for insurance paperwork and acceptance, then two week prep diet and another pre- surgery meeting with all the players. It certainly is a long drawn out process. I am hoping for late January early February surgery. Originally hoped I'd be done by the end of December for ins. deductible purposes. Oh well, it is all in their hands.
