    Already?

Thanks for all the encouragement. Clothes are definitely loose, and I am wearing some pants I've had packed away for a couple years so.......... I am getting smaller! It just doesn't show up on the scale yet.

    Already?

Me too! Had surgery 2/3. Haven't lost a pound since 2/17. Kind of disappointing, but I gather from reading posts on here that it will eventually pass.I am getting a little tired of it though. Hopefully yours (and mine) will break soon!

    Not Getting Enough Fluids

Those are guidelines. For many of us it just can't be done for a while. I am three weeks out and still cannot get 64 oz. of liquid in a day, but everyday I get a little closer to that goal.

    Surgery in 4 hours!

Good luck and I hope your recovery goes well.
  6. I think if you remain calmly resolute and remind him that you have done your research, he will realize it is not a debate. Perhaps his comments are masking a greater fear that he won't verbalize. My husband was frightened about my dying during the procedure. Maybe he has similar worries? Or it could be that he is just being a big jerk right now until he gets used to the idea.

    February sleevers

I had my surgery 2/3. I feel great. I am also having some difficulty getting in all the protein and liquids that my bariatric team would like. I started purees a few days ago and that is hit and miss. I have had some very uncomfortable hours with foaming etc. Yesterday I decided I would stick closer to the previous full liquid diet I was on. I am a little cowed by the tiny tyrant (my stomach).

    What irritates your sleeve?

I've only been on purees since Tuesday. So far I have tried ground beef with a little gravy, tuna with mayo and tolerated fine. Last night I made Eggface's ricotta bake and had issues. I took small bites, waited 2 min. between bites and decided even before i had finished 1/4 cup that I'd better stop eating. I am not sure what happened, but 1/2 hour later I became uncomfortable had to burp and started "foaming." It lasted about an hour. Sometimes this new stomach scares me.

    Rant ????????????

Good for you to have the confidence to confront her attitude with the information you gained from all your research! Well done.

    My story

Congratulations! This will be a great transition to a healthier you!

    How old are/were you?

I am 62, just had surgery 2/3. I had thought about it about 10 years ago but the sleeve wasn't as available then. I really didn't like the other WLS options. I have no comorbidities- just 100 lbs to lose! I didn't need it at 22 so I don't know how I would have felt about major surgery at that age. If you feel ready to undertake this after careful consideration, then you should.

So happy to hear things are better! I was hoping you would have good news. Onward and downward (weight wise).
