If for no other reason, This is as good as any

What a positive post! I agree that your BP name is distasteful, but I am 63 years old so.......... half the time I can't figure out what the names mean anyway. I do enjoy your joyful attitude!

    Laugh! It's better than crying

I loved the one about being a little overweight as a public service!

    Don't judge me!

Sounds like great fun and good exercise too! Enjoy!
  4. You might want to p.m. NPRcowboy, as I recall he had issues with a leak following surgery. He seems to be recovered now, and doing better.

    I'm so sick of water

You know I once read on this site that someone had tried the coke flavored icee drink that you get at convenience stores. That might satisfy the craving ( not sure how much carbonation is left in it after the process) I am also pretty sure it has calories, but maybe it will be one and done. Lucky for me the carbonation demon left me during my pre-op stage when I was told to stop drinking sodas etc.

    Hair Loss

I wasn't quite 3 mos. post surgery when my hair started to fall out. It is still falling out, next month will be 6 mos. post op and I am hoping it slows down then.

Food Scale - do you really need one?

I purchased one and have yet to use it. My dietician lists everything in Tablespoons, 1/2 cup etc.
  9. Wow 150 lbs down! You have done well! Congratulations on your Transformation Tuesday debut.

    Uncertain futures

@@CanyonBaby I live east of St. Paul, in Afton, which is along the St. Croix River- almost to Wisconsin. Wow, I love you even more knowing you are from Ely, MN.

    Uncertain futures

As we say in Minnesota, I'll be bringing a "hotdish" aka a casserole to the party (in spirit). You have a wonderful celebration! Still in my prayers daily and hope your sleeplessness improves.

    Go Outside And Play

Ditto, @Debbieduck4@ukkateuk. Love hiking/walking with my dog and no longer deliberately avoid the paths with large hills.

    Diverticulitis

@@KatrinaGrace So sorry you have had to endure these episodes. Maybe your planned colon surgery will completely eliminate the flare-ups.

Thank you so much for the update. Do you remember the expression "keep on keeping on"? It seems all is well for now. You both are in my prayers daily. Much love coming your way.

    Diverticulitis

I too have suffered flare-ups from diverticulitis pre-WLS and I have also had one episode post-WLS., although my last one post-WLS did not require antibiotics (it was a mild one). Both my PCP and my surgeon insist the flare ups are not caused by any particular foods.

    Fairlife milk?

I am not a milk drinker, but I did try this during my post-op liquid stage and liked both the chocolate and the 2%. I don't drink it now that I am beyond that stage.

    Quest bars

I really like them. My favorite flavor is Double Chocolate Chunk, delicious.

    Temptations

I am finding that it gets easier to say no to things the more often I do it. Key lime pie was a huge favorite of mine and I've said no to it twice now. Not even one bite. When I was asked if I wanted just a bite I said, "you know I just don't want to fall off the wagon" and was perfectly understood.

    Little Acheivements are the best

I think the best one for me right now is walking my dog for five miles (which I did pre-WLS), but now I don't mind if we go on a path/trail with hills. Those hills will not get the best of me, I will conquer them!
