  1. I had my surgery on October 31, 2014. My pre op weight was 247. 20lbs away from one of my heaviest weights. The lowest I ever got on my own was 205. I have never been able to get past that number no matter how hard I tried. This morning I weighed in at 210. I have mixed emotions because I'm 5 pounds from my lowest weight and I know that this time there won't be the horrible battle when I get this close to being under 200lbs.

    Single ladies! Dating?

I know I'm only 10 days postop, but this is something I've been thinking a lot about. My friends are very worried that since most of my past dating has been online, that I'm going to meet people who only want me for my body but would have bypassed my profile when I was/am heavy. Now I know I'm not desperate or shallow enough to fall for men who are only after one thing and I have learned a lot over the years, but I was just wondering what are some people's advice with dating after surgery? I know it's going to be hard and I wish I had found someone who loved me for me before I started this journey... Thoughts? Advice? Stories?

    Do You Drink Coffee?

I just got a small decaf cause I was dying!!! I ended up doing 8 oz of coffee and 4 ounces of milk in the 12 oz cup. It's a snack with protein!
  9. Today a very dear friend of mine was laid to rest after battling cancer. ???? As it usually goes with a loss of a loved one, at least with me, I eat my emotions. I'm three weeks post op and obviously at the luncheon couldn't eat especially enough to eat my feelings away. After it was all over I felt more drained then I ever did before with losing a loved one ( not to sound sappy but I've lost quite a few). Even at the end of the day I feel like I've had no energy, almost like when your sick, not depressed. I've gotten my calories and Protein in and everything. Is this what it really feels like when you can't use food as your comfort? It's like my body is sad lol. Thoughts?

    popcorn.

If you're craving something (that can be safely eaten) eat it in moderation!!! If you don't, sometimes you end up doing more harm just trying to compensate the craving with other things...

    Stinging Pain in Bending

I have the pain on my right side!!! I would hope after a month it goes away. The doctor said I'm fine but I'm still tender everywhere else too. I guess it will go away as everything heals. I'm two weeks post op.

I sometimes take a gasx before I eat. It helps a lot!
  17. Good morning fellow sleevers! So this is something new that even before surgery I never had a problem with. I am starting to get really really hungry in the middle of the night. I tried eating something later and hoping it would hold me over and it doesn't. Drinking Water isn't even doing the trick! I know that my body changing and it's taking it's time to rearrange itself since I'm only two weeks postop. But it's really getting frustrating because once I eat something in the middle of the night, it takes me forever to fall back to sleep. Any suggestions?
