happy and not so scared for the 1st time
I had my surgery on October 31, 2014. My pre op weight was 247. 20lbs away from one of my heaviest weights. The lowest I ever got on my own was 205. I have never been able to get past that number no matter how hard I tried. This morning I weighed in at 210. I have mixed emotions because I'm 5 pounds from my lowest weight and I know that this time there won't be the horrible battle when I get this close to being under 200lbs.

An interesting experience after wls...
No I haven't and thank you☺️

popcorn.
If you're craving something (that can be safely eaten) eat it in moderation!!! If you don't, sometimes you end up doing more harm just trying to compensate the craving with other things...

An interesting experience after wls...
Today a very dear friend of mine was laid to rest after battling cancer. ???? As it usually goes with a loss of a loved one, at least with me, I eat my emotions. I'm three weeks post op and obviously at the luncheon couldn't eat especially enough to eat my feelings away. After it was all over I felt more drained then I ever did before with losing a loved one ( not to sound sappy but I've lost quite a few). Even at the end of the day I feel like I've had no energy, almost like when your sick, not depressed. I've gotten my calories and Protein in and everything. Is this what it really feels like when you can't use food as your comfort? It's like my body is sad lol. Thoughts?

Stinging Pain in Bending
I have the pain on my right side!!! I would hope after a month it goes away. The doctor said I'm fine but I'm still tender everywhere else too. I guess it will go away as everything heals. I'm two weeks post op.

Help! I'm experiencing something I've never had a problem with!
Good morning fellow sleevers! So this is something new that even before surgery I never had a problem with. I am starting to get really really hungry in the middle of the night. I tried eating something later and hoping it would hold me over and it doesn't. Drinking Water isn't even doing the trick! I know that my body changing and it's taking it's time to rearrange itself since I'm only two weeks postop. But it's really getting frustrating because once I eat something in the middle of the night, it takes me forever to fall back to sleep. Any suggestions?

Single ladies! Dating?
I know I'm only 10 days postop, but this is something I've been thinking a lot about. My friends are very worried that since most of my past dating has been online, that I'm going to meet people who only want me for my body but would have bypassed my profile when I was/am heavy. Now I know I'm not desperate or shallow enough to fall for men who are only after one thing and I have learned a lot over the years, but I was just wondering what are some people's advice with dating after surgery? I know it's going to be hard and I wish I had found someone who loved me for me before I started this journey... Thoughts? Advice? Stories?

Tasteless Protein
I'm 8 days out and put isopure in everything. It's not bad and 27g of protein a scoop. You can mix it with anything. Just heat your warm foods first and then add it in or it looks like a science project gone bad.

My sleeve is such a meanie!
I put PB2 and low sugar jam in my oatmeal. Butternut squash soup is awesome My friend couldn't eat chicken for 6 months after surgery.
-
Coconut water?
My NUT lets me use it. I mix it with water and sip. She said it's great to help prevent dehydration and better than drinking low cal Gatorade with the sweeteners in it. Just not a lot. 1-2 tbsp per 3/4 cup water.
