  1. Wow! Fantastic! You should be so proud!!
  2. @@evanter It does get better. The length of time before it does varies with each individual. After surgery and now if you can, make sure your taking your vitamins. Especially the B's to help you with your energy. I'm not going to lie you will probably be a little tired in the beginning but stay on your fluids and protein and you will be back in business before you know it. Take your time off to rest your body as much as you can. It's ok to be "lazy" just sleep when you need to. I was back in action at a week post-op. Good luck!
  3. Congrats on the weight loss so far! Welcome!@@zaptearNH
  4. Well I take that back I eat avocado and technically it's a fruit so I guess I don't eat vegetables! Goodness! Maybe this is worse then I thought!
  5. @@VSGAnn2014 Wow! I haven't even had a piece of fruit in almost 3 months! I think they drove in the whole " protein first" bit a little too hard. Thats what all my information and pamphlets say. My NUT said to Make my plate, eat my protein and then if there's any room left eat the other foods. The problem is there's never any room left so I'm almost purely protein. Now they want to switch it up on me....confusing!
  6. @@SuperDave Do you have that yucky ketosis metal taste in your mouth?! I'm so over that nasty taste! I figured it would go away but it's been two months and it's still there!! I think if I were to eat a fair amount of carbs it would probably go away...for awhile. I don't want to eat carbs though! Not like that!
  7. @@SuperDave Funny we have the same diet practically. It is odd to hear a Dr (or anyone) Say to eat more. I'm sure I could if I just really made myself. I'm also not getting as much exercise as I should, when I start working out more I will put more focus on eating. I don't want to stall myself. I guess I won't really know since I only weigh maybe twice a month. My clothes are lose and I can see the changes in the mirror.
  8. Ok so I'm doing ok then...@@SuperDave you and I are pretty close my surgery was 11/3. I finally got up to 800 calories but that's With two shakes and a quest bar that's 510 of the calories. 80 grams of protein. Then I eat some food usually 2 egg whites, turkey bacon and 1/4 avocado. Then dinner is usually 2oz grilled chicken with 1/2 boiled egg, or some seafood. I round out to 90+ grams of protein. I don't have any apatite but my surgeon wants me to up my calories to 11-1200 and he said to eat carbs. I only get about 10 max net carbs a day if that but once I eat the protein I don't feel like eating anything else. I've only had 18 grams of sugar in 5 days. I read that the average recommended amount of sugar is 25 grams a DAY! I don't feel bad at all and I'm obviously not tired. I've lost 32 lbs now. I guess I shouldn't worry about it, I don't worry about weight as much as my overall health from the food and nutrients I am getting or lack thereof. I drink all my fluids + I'm just curious as to what people are doing.
  9. How far along are you? How many calories do you average? How many (net) carbs? (If you don't know net then just carbs in general) In a day. I know everyone is different with different recommendations I'm just curious as to the numbers. ( I say "actively"because I know some people are in maintenance, I say "losing" but I'm aware of stalls so it still counts if you are In the process!!!). Thank you kindly in advance!!!
  10. Heck no he didn't! My husband is a mailman so he walks "12 miles a day" (I hear that alllllll the time) any who he's all slim and trim(of course). He was/is very supportive though! Sometimes I wish he was big so he could do this with me but he's not...what can you do?! That's awesome that you and the hubs where able to do it together!! What a sweetie! @@kikicoates78
  11. I think I already said this but...good luck!! Godspeed!
  12. Lol! Funny! One of my Christmas presents from my mom was a heated blanket that goes at the end of your bed for your feet....LOVE.IT.
  13. @@monopoly2015 I did the Swanson Thai ginger, and hot n sour and I was just fine!
  14. @@pindoctor Maintain the 40! That's what I did I was 40.3 at first weigh in and I had to keep it at 40 for the 3 Months. In fact I lost some and had to eat junk to make up for it. That's what I did. Your insurance my be different. I was cautioned not to lose a whole lot.
  15. @@Tasha84 Have the sleeve surgery! Ha! No, you have to make that choice on your own! Welcome!
  16. @@BloomingLotus I've never heard of such a thing but that's a nice thing to have. I don't know if you need someone with you once your home. I had my husband and kids but they were gone all day and quit frankly if I had to I would have Been fine on my own. I guess it all depends on how your surgery goes and how comfortable you are with being alone. Heck if you felt good you could probably just have a taxi take you home and skip that expense all together.
  17. @@proudgrammy It's on Netflix! Do you have Netflix? It's kinda raunchy but I like it!!!
  18. @@hdd55146 I am one of those people and it started once I hit regular food...maybe a bit before.
