  1. I have the sleeve so I'm sorry I can't answer your question but I wanted to welcome you!
  2. Hello! I don't have any of that So I can't help you, I just wanted to say welcome to the group! @@mysleeve
  3. @@hdd55146 We found ours at our local super Walmart in the broth isle.
  4. @@hdd55146 Can you just drink plain water? You don't have to add All the fake sugar. Or I drank coconut water..do you like coconut water? Pure coconut water isn't that sweet and it a super hydrator. You can usually find The "one" brand at Walmart or almost any health food store carries it. I can't help you with advancing ahead of time...I did what they asked. I know it gets old! Have you Tried the Swanson starter broths? They have savory flavors like Thai ginger, hot n sour, Mexican Tortilla, ect...all broth. I even had egg drop soup that I strained from our local Chinese restaurant. Maybe try some of these thing and hold off just two more days! You can do it!!
  5. @@VGB Oh and for directly after surgery I used the ready-made isopure (not delicious in my opinion but with 40 grams protein per bottle it served its purpose)
  6. Already made Premier Protein in chocolate...love them (I should get some kind of compensation because it's all I seem to recommend)! There are A ton more and I have no doubt you will get some wonderful recommendations this is just my hands down fav and it's hard to beat the 30 grams of protein per shake! I get my larger cases (12) At SAMs regular Walmart also carries the 4-packs
  7. Thank you! And you're welcome!
  8. Yay! Congratulations!
  9. @@SandeeD Yay! Congratulations!
  10. @@katmaar If you don't already have something to blend with you can get the mini ninja blended/chopper at Walmart for 20 bucks. I really only used mine maybe 2-3 times though I mainly stuck with really soft foods. I hope this helps. I know it can be frustrating but take a breath and don't make it hard on yourself! Now, that will be enough of that "giving up" nonsense!!ha!
  11. Ricotta bake was one of my favorites, along with refried beans and homemade crab cakes ( these things are already soft so you don't need to blend them) my stage was purée /mushy combined. Look at it that way not everything had to go into A blender.
  12. @@katmaar No that's exactly the opposite of what you need to do. Purée food is just that, food that's puréed. You can Have egg salad, tuna salad, any soup, chili, mashed potatoes, cottage cheese, applesauce, heck just about anything. Don't worry about the calories ect...so much at this point your not going to be able to eat enough for it to really matter..( I wouldn't eat a bunch of sugar though) just make what ever you like and blend it up. Heck eat baby food if you need too. Some is actually yummy! If you need to add unflavored protein to the mix do it. If you can get your protein from shakes ect...Then don't worry about adding it into the blend. Just eat!
  13. @@ChronicJam I just made a post about this. Sounds like your doing well. I'm 2 1/2 months out and I Get 800 max.
  14. I just made a post about this, it varies. I'm on the low end as far as sugar I get maybe 20 grams a week where as the recommended daily amount is 25 Grams a DAY. I had a real issue with sugar so I completely cut added sugar out of my diet (I'm probably a bit extreme so don't try to follow me) My protein is good 90+ grams a day. I guess it really just depends on what your surgeon or NUT recommends for you.@@ShellBell628
  15. @@Kramer17 I love that show! I also like "fat vs skinny"'I like all weight loss shows! Except for biggest loser because they are Showing unrealistic results....unless you don't work, have a personal trainer, chief, and can workout 8 hours a day! But yay for them!
  16. @ No, I haven't tried that because of my NUT and her "protein first" Moto. I don't see her anymore though. She really didn't teach me ANYTHING! Nice but thats about it! I get a lot of my information on here too so I'm glad you are getting tips and enjoying the site!
  17. @@BLERDgirl I sounds Like your plan is doing quit well for you! I guess we are all doing pretty darn well since we are losing! My goal should be to try to eat more real food and wing myself off the shakes like you have! I really like mY shakes though and they make my numbers look so pretty
  18. Welcome! Ask away!
  19. I take all those vitamins plus a super b complex. Don't be afraid to demand (in a nice way) that they give you better instruction. That's what they are being paid to do. I wouldn't hesitate for one moment letting them know hey, you gave me this information already and I need a little more clarification! Maybe I'm just a big mouth or have been in healthcare to long but get the answers you need. You just had a life changing surgery and you don't want to potentially hurt yourself because of a lack of education on their part! A major part of our job a healthcare workers is to educate our patients. You are new to this and you can't be expected to know everything, do your own research yes, but they should be available to Answer any questions you have. Write your self a list of questions and call the office, make a appointment whatever, but get the answers you need and deserve! Ok off the soapbox now!
  20. Yep it's possible. It may be mostly water weight but that's good.
  21. Yes it can be. Your body needs time to catch up. Give yourself some time.
  22. Sounds like your doing just fine.
  23. Sound reasonable. I was back in school ect..after a week.
