  1. @@holliwood1980 No, I didn't have that issue with eggs but I did add a touch of milk tommy eggs to make them more soft and fluffy. The only thing I got a little sick on was crab legs but then I Tried them again later and did fine. Some foods will just have to be retried later down the road. Don't be scared to eat.

  9. HI all! Today is exactly 9 Weeks since I had my sleeve surgery. I have read a lot of post on here pre and post surgery about people being so dishearten over the numbers on the scale when they weigh. I told myself back before my surgery that I was NOT going to fall victim to the stinking scale! That hellacious thing has a way of ruining a persons whole day/week. Now I know some people can weigh everyday and whatever number pops up they can live with but I know me, I know my past, and I know how many times that Sucker has knocked the wind out of my sails and made me feel defeated. NOT this time honey! So what I did do with my daughter help (Partly to make sure I couldn't fudge on the numbers later) was measured every part of my body. Today is the first time we got the measuring tape out and revisited those numbers and I have to say I am astonished! These inches I have lost so far, far surpasses the feeling I got from any scale number! People are always asking me for recommendations of what they should do and my advice is to take your measurements because you can almost bet when that scale isn't moving but your following orders your probably still losing inches. I'm a open book so I will share my numbers with you... Under bust - 3inches Smallest part of waist -4 inches Natural waist -6 inches Buttock, booty, lovely lady lumps -10 inches!!!!! Yes -10 inches!! Crazy!!(Don't fret there's plenty more where that came from) Upper arm -3inches Thighs -6 inches (loving this) Calves-1 1/2 inches. Such a long way to go but I am so incredibly grateful for my sleeve and the help it has given me to finally be succeeding at something I've wanted for so long! Hey does this count as a NSV?? ( ps: I do weigh myself but only bi-weekly if I feel like it:)
  10. @@jeandisanti Well carbs can def move the scale up! As far as swelling is it all over ? Feet? Stomach?

  15. You can google it but from what I read some people so back to a kind of pre-op diet. If you didn't have one mainly protein shakes and low sodium/sugar Liquids.
  16. @@shannalynne God is good! Congratulations!

  18. @@allyray It's ok that they are concerned it's sweet, they love you BUT the fact of the matter Is they don't have to live in your body, and if they've been healthy and fit all their lives then they can't possibly know the struggle. You do however that's why this is ultimately your choice. I have no doubts that You will get the support you need once it's over. They are just worried about you and I assume they probably don't know a whole lot about WLS or have a personal experience with it so it's a lot of unknown for them. You have raised those kiddos to be teens now it's time to do something for yourself, a Unselfish gift that has the potential to keep around and health for them in the long run...I wish you nothing but the best of luck!
  19. Are you eating a lot of carbs or salt?
  20. @@Brandalyn Drink broth and cut out all the crystal light junk if your getting sweet overload. If you like coconut try coconut water , it's not as sweet and it's a really good hydrator vs just water.
  21. @@amyecpa If I would have Had the chance to do it sooner I would have. As far as time with the surgeon I only saw mine twice too through the whole 3 month process, once in the beginning and once a week before surgery. As far as the NUT mine was nice but she taught me nothing! Everything she told me (and I mean everything) I had already learned through my own research. The pre-op and post op diet where on paper so I didn't need her for that. Basically it was a waste of my 150+ bucks! I had to go for insurance purposes though and I know a lot of people learn a fair amount from theirs I just didn't. So all in all your basically getting what I had but in a much faster time frame! Good!
