No on the salt. But yes on the carbs.

Maybe it's time to call/see the doctor? Don't take chances, you paid the doctor for help, use it! Keep us informed! What you learn, we all learn from! Good luck to you!

I can't tell how old you are from your profile - but if you're having trouble breathing when you lay down, swelling can be a sign of heart disease, can also be worsened by medications like beta blockers or ace inhibitors - can also be a sign of decreased kidney function... but it's probably a sign that...

You've added bread. The same 8 lbs you lose in the first week of a low carb diet - you gain in the first week off.

I'd follow up with the doc if you have any other symptoms or if the gain continues, otherwise cut the carbs and increase the Water.

I would go see your NUT.

I've heard that adding too many carbs too soon can cause you to hold Fluid in your intestines because they tend to swell up and not move through too well. Maybe you're bloated and constipated. Quite a few of us have had trouble with that. Maybe try a mild laxative and see if that helps. I'd call the doc if things didn't improve after a day or so. Keep us posted.

No constipation

I have the same problem. I had lower body lift and brachioplasty in August, and never did lose all the swelling. Then three weeks ago I had thighplasty and breast lift. I gained about 15 pounds in 2 days, and I'm still up about 5. My ankles are huge at the end of every day and I find it to be miserable. I keep thinking I'm the only person who has 12 pounds cut off and my weight increases! However, I'm still not sad ;)
