Mystery Question that is Plaguing Me!? Grocery Haul Videos
@@joatsaint I use to love watching them when I was in the Pre-op learning stage. I was curious to see what people where eating before, and after surgery. It was part of my learning phase. I watched a lot Of VSG you-tubers! I don't watch it anymore however.

Travel After WLS
I traveled two weeks after surgery (actually 8 days) I was also back To work and college at two weeks so it really just depends. If you do just make sure you pack all the things you will need. Water, vitamins, whatever diet you have. I felt fine, drinking water, taking vitamins ect was no different away from my house than doing it sitting in it. Same, same.

Do you count carbs?
Yes and it's ridiculously low but I feel good and labs are on point so I roll with it. I get around 20 carbs with only 4 grams being sugar. 800 calories, 100+ grams of protein and 20 grams of fat. @@catlover2565

How do you know the sleeve is going to work? No long term data!
There's not a "long "term study but there was enough Studies and evidence to prove it does work. The Bypass is defiantly no more of a "guarantee" you will take the weight off and keep it off. I know a few people Personally that have had bypass, lost weight and regained it. Truth is you can fail with any surgery if you don't do your part. You have to do the work to be successful. Nobody will be able to tell you how much you will lose with any surgery, again that will depend on your body and how much work you put into it. Good luck!

Sad/Depressed after Gastric Plication Weight Loss Surgery
I assume it's to get ideas on what to eat and buy. I watched them before surgery because I wanted to see what the people who were losing weight were eating, and to get an idea of what the "diet" of a WlS patient looked like. I don't watch them any more.

I am constantly amazed at how little food I can live on.
I love the salad bar too. I usually get that While the rest of the family go to the drive through. My last visit to the bar was $2.08. I'm a cheap date for my hubs now. Instead of our fancy date nights at a nice restaurant I buy clothes or fun jewelry. Soooo much more rewarding and it last longer! I don't think I have a "food addiction" I was just hungry all the time. I also quit smoking cold turkey after smoking a pack a day for 6 + years , no problem. Maybe we are either really strong willed or plain lucky?

Meal planning after surgery with a foodie spouse.
@@Hoven I've turned in to a "I don't care" person when it comes to food. I use to call my husband everyday at work and ask him what he wanted for dinner, either cook or plan take out. Now I don't call anymore. He calls me and I always say the same thing "I don't care" I'm not going to eat it anyway. Ha! I eat I just don't eat hardly anything they eat. I still cook for them though. I'm one of the few who doesn't have hunger so food is of no interest to me anymore. Even when we go out to eat I don't even order any thing I just eat a few bits off the family's plate and I'm good. It takes some getting use to. Eating out was always a big deal in my family, I will go with them just to be with them but the food is not anything I care about. I freaking love it though! It's amazing when I think about how I Use to be about food and how I am now. It's a miracle!

Family Struggle
@@hstrayorn I ate in my room during pre-op (no hunger after so no issue there) My husband and kids where very forgetful about leaving junk on the counters in my line of view so after awhile I started hiding all their crap, they eventually got sick of looking for it and decided to keep things put up. Amazing how well that worked!

Dizzy.....for weeks. Fainted tonight.
I eat 800 calories a day. I have not stopped losing weight and I'm never dizzy. You need to eat. Not only will not eating enough make you dizzy but it will eventually cause you to stop losing weight. Just eat the Right things and you don't have to worry. It could also be other issues, it's a good thing your going to see your DR.
