  1. No I only drink premier protein ready-made shakes in chocolate. They are my favorite since my pre-op. I had strawberry and vanilla too but I don't like them anymore just chocolate! I drink the whole dang thing! 2 of them give me 60 grams of protien and if I don't feel like eating I will drink 3.
  2. @@bobbyswife I'm thankful that I learned that big butts are in!!! And I'm thankful that my family and friends will support me no matter what my size is !❤️
  3. I just started soft/purée both in one stage and it took me two weeks to get there 2 days of just clears, then 12 days of thick liquids and now this. It's nice but I still live on protein shakes it's easier for me. I ate more today though. 1/2 egg, tbs of turkey sausage and Tbs of cheese for breakfast, I got most of that down. Then for dinner I had 2oz of refried beans, 1 tsp sour cream , 1 tsp of hummus, and 1 tsp of salas. It's good it just takes forever to eat. I drink my water and 2 shakes for my protien I'm a good job do-er today! Oh and my first day of "real" food is thanksgiving!! And I didn't even plan that! Boom!

    THE PROCESS

@@taweedeegirl Your process length is going to depend on your insurance company. I started mine middle of July and was sleeved beginning of November....roughly 3 months w/o any issues. If you have issues it can drag out.

    New year/ new me!

    Well congratulations...twice.
  6. @@Shell88 And just how am I going to have any butt for my shorty shorts if you keep posting healthy food like that?? I will have to try that....when I can eat better.
  7. @@kelseycakes20 YES!!! I don't understand why some DR don't dont do this as a routine order??! Crazy to me! I take mine every morning, one a day, and if I forget I'm quickly reminded with symptoms like yours. As long as I take it I'm golden. If I were you I would put in a call and ask. They may tell you something different and then again it may really help you.

    Caffeine

@@MamaTo3inNH Willpower is a heck of a thing! Before my surgery I literally lived on coffee and maybe 16oz of water for fluids...ridiculous! When I found out I couldn't have it anymore I just quit. No sense in chancing misery while trying to recover. On the plus side if you do get headaches now you can take medicine for it. I thought I would get headaches but I didn't. I don't even miss coffee anymore (unless I see a Starbucks then I kinda do but I just think of the SUGAR) So the choice is yours either way I wish you luck!
  9. @@kelseycakes20 We're you prescribed or told to use and anti-acid? If not that might be your problem.

    post op 7 days pizza

@@DBLPattyMELT7am Lol! You won't die but cut that crap out!! when you CAN have pizza find a good healthy low carb version! You don't have to deprive yourself you have to "adjust" yourself that oil in the pizza is yuck on your belly!!! You spit but you still got some!
  13. @@Vad1988 I think almost everybody has those same fears, you can literally read that subject line in here everyday. It's a big decision I am sleeved, I've had no issues and I feel beyond blessed to have it. Everyone is different everybody's "journey" is different. It's is a lot of unknown that you won't know unless you do it. I'm not saying you should or shouldn't thats a decision you have to make for yourself but no your not alone with those feelings. If you do decide to take that plunge I would do extensive research on the band.......

@@SleeveNik I haven't either, well nausea in the hospital but nothing since! I hear all kinds of things...poop issues (none) Horrible periods after (nothing) painful eating (none) Tiered all the time/lack of energy (none) I'm thrilled but sometimes I wonder about that too. I have restriction when I eat so I know they did something in there!

    What to ask the doctor.

@@fuzzywhitebunny I had questions...a lot of them so I made a list and took it with me (Because I get white coat syndrome and will forget once the surgeon walks in) I asked,...what surgery based on my history would be best for me, how many days in the hospital, what time of pain control methods he would be using, What size bougie he used to make my pouch (38 French)how long The surgery would take (roughly) if he was going to take out my gallbladder at the same time (no), how many incisions I would have, Would I have to have a catheter and JP drain (yes, yes) how long would I have them, would he be prescribing me anti-nausea and Anti acids after surgery, what kind of pain pills would I be sent home with, what kind of vitamins should I take....ect I know there was more on my List but that's all I can remember right now.
  19. @@HollyFriend Aww that stinks! I know how frustrated you must be. It's like being told your baby will be born on a certain day and then it doesn't happen! Just try to be thankful that your surgeon is being diligent and finding/fix all preexisting issue before they become a real issue. You want to be in the best health you can be in before going through surgery. Don't worry your "baby" (stomach ) will be born soon!!! Godspeed!
  20. @@Dualstarr Hello! Do you not want to tell her or are you just worried about her reaction again? That's a hard one because she's in your home and it stinks that you won't be able to recover in the comforts of your own home. I don't know what you could tell her? If she's anything like my momma she's going to know something's up! You may have meds, weird eating habits...I mean A really weird diet in the beginning even for a "dieter" lol! Moms are just hard! I would be on edge constantly because I know my mom would defiantly catch on With my luck she would see my scars somehow and KNOW something's happened. Hummmm I'm not very helpful am I?! I'm sorry I'm trying to think of ideas without telling your mom something dishonest. Well I guess even if she does find out she can't ground you and your too old to spank! There's your bright side!!! Good luck girl!

  23. @@GenaW828 I had a big reply typed out for you and it got erased...twice! I was just saying the things that helped me make the two weeks successfully where: making protein Popsicles. (I bought molds off of target website I think I paid 10-12 bucks and that included shipping) Don't let to much time pass between shakes. Turn off/ mute all food commercials. Don't watch food! I left the room when my family ate the first week. I Was ok after that. There where times I was out to long and had to stop at GNC and buy a single shake...don't go without your shakes! Keep your eye on the prize! It's not easy but it does get better the more time that passes. Just think if you cheat it will just make it that much harder..like starting over again. Drink water/fluids! Go to bed early if you have to to avoid late night temptations. Zzzquil helped with this.
