Your surgeon doesn't have someone on call?!?!

You'll be fine. Piece of cake! Stay POSITIVE, that's the best thing you can do for yourself. Don't forget... walk, walk, walk, sip, sip, sip. Repeat.

I'm 5'3". I'm getting my clothes at Goodwill because I'm going through them so fast, and some of them I have to have the lengths altered. Should only cost you about 7-8 bucks per pair.

It'll probably all level out. I'm surprised you weren't hungrier when you started working out an hour a day. For me, I can be feeling lots of hunger one day and the very next day have zero appetite at all. It's baffling.

I'm freezing all the time! I keep a heater on in my office and now my coworkers refer to my office as "the sauna", but I'm still cold!
-
Good luck! It's a wild ride!

Wish I'd done it years ago! I had a worse time with my tonsillectomy. Hands down.
-
THANK YOU ALL! I feel great!

I did liquids for 1 week. Then at 8 days I was released to mushy and soft chewed very well. Including eggs! I still can only eat 1/2 a scrambled egg. At 4 weeks now I can eat most soft foods. Nothing too dry, and no steak or raw veggies yet obviously.

@@savoy7658 Revisions may take longer, but I took off 18 days (over the holidays). But, I've seen some people return to work after 1 week. When I went back to work I was really tired at the end of the day for the first week, but by the 2nd week back I was totally back to normal. I'd say to be safe, take 2 weeks if you can.

I just had my surgery in Dec., but my kids are grown (21 and 17). I struggled with PCOS starting in my teens and up until I had NovaSure when I was 38. It doesn't always affect pregnancy. In my case I don't think it did, but I was much healthier when I got pregnant.

Me! But I had it before I was super fat. I was still able to get pregnant eventually. Eat a Paleo diet starting now and get used to eating Protein and low carb. That will make the surgery process easier.

Where have I been? I'm dying to see where this started. It's the nosey neighbor in me. Wait, no... Nobody's in me. I meant... Oh whatever...

All your feelings are completely normal. We all had them in some form or another. I've said this before, and I can only speak about my experience, but my VSG was 100's of times easier than my tonsillectomy 2 years ago. I'm 20 days out and I feel better than ever.

The most important thing right now is hydration and Protein. Other than that you need to rest when you can and allow healing to happen. If you want an indoor low-impact exercise there are zillions on youtube.

Oh trust me, I want to do something like that, but I've seen so many people pay the price so I'm gonna let y'all be my reason for not doing it!

Thank you guys so much! I went tonight and bought the 14 day dose pack of Omeprazole @@Kindle you are right, it says right there on the box that it could take 1-4 days to feel results. I did notice today when I took 2 Tums that it did calm down, so I'm really thinking it's acid, but it could also be hunger, too since I'm eating so little. I agree with you @@BLERDgirl that I don't think I'm eating often enough. I can probably transition to 3 meals a day when I'm farther out, but for now I think I just need to take a few bites (that's all I need) of something every 2-3 hours. How many calories should I be at, at 3 weeks post op?
-
@@BLERDgirl I will try that. It's so frustrating because on the weekends I can sleep in til 9 or 10 and I'm literally not hungry until 2 pm. Then for the rest of the day I fight the hunger feeling after I eat.

@@collinus I feel it in my mid-stomach area, like behind my belly button, which I know is silly because isn't our sleeve located much higher? For instance, when I feel full, it's just below my breasts in the center.
