I'm still pre-op but I've read over and over that reflux can feel like hunger. Definitely check with your dr about taking it daily for a while. I'm sure they'll have answers for you.

I think you probably know what to do to get back to a better diet, like going back to basics after surgery BUT I echo what @@Elode said. You need to follow whatever your Dr. says.

Are you taking Prilosec?
-
You poor thing! Did you have any health problems prior to surgery? I will keep you in my prayers!
-
Do you take a PPI like Prilosec?

I think the very best thing you can do is print out your post and give it to your psych. I'm worried about you. As a therapist that has counseled multiple anorexics, I'm proud of you that you can admit that there's a problem, but I've seen time and time again that the addiction to the problem is in and of itself the greater problem. Please be honest with those that love you.

Rolling with our Thanksgiving theme going back to Wednesday and through today, let's continue with positive thoughts. We've personally thanked people on this site who have been instrumental, we have talked about what we are thankful we learned by being overweight or obese, and we touched on a time when we've done something good to help others. This one will require a little more thought, but I hope everyone will chime in, as it could be what you say on this post that makes a difference to someone else! Today, I want to talk about the one A-HA moment you had when you learned something about WLS either from a Dr. or as a result of studying this site or other WLS studies, and how that made you thankful that we had this option.
My A-HA moment was when I realized after watching a video that my bariatric surgeon did, that perpetual dieting (losing, gaining, failure after failure) was actually causing more long term harm to my body than I had given it credit for. The realization that I may never get off that "dead horse" and I may never be able to pick up my grandchildren because of the weight and the degenerative arthritis, propelled me into making this decision and I am SO THANKFUL that we have WLS as an option to help end the cycle.
What was your A-HA moment?

Did you have a problem with acid reflux pre-surgery?

I am a REALLY nice person, but I can also be your worst nightmare. I would have shoved my size 7 so far up that Pharmacists ass she would have needed a proctologist to find it.

You need to go to the ER if you cannot walk. That's not normal.

Yep, from the research I've done that's about right!

Can't we all just get along?
We are ALL battling the same disease. It's silly to battle one another. I doubt cancer patients are fighting with one another on which is the best approach for their cure. Sure, we might have all come to a different conclusion on which approach is best for us individually, but I think everyone just needs to calm down. Love one another. There's far worse going on in our world than this debate. At the end of the day, the very person you are fighting with would probably be your friend in "the real world", but everyone becomes a hot head behind a computer screen. Be kind, people.

Took me over an hour to eat an ounce of tuna fish

I cannot even fathom taking that long to eat an oz. of tuna. Sometimes it's still just unreal to me that this is all about to happen in my own life!
