  1. I'm a single parent. My friend took my then 15 year old for the four days I was in the hospital. My twin drove me, my mom came for extra support and my friend picked me up for days later. Once I was home I was pretty much on my own. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    I think low carb or no carb depends on what your nutritionist says and on your type of diet. I eat carbs. I try to stay around a hundred grams to one twenty grams a day. If I go over 140 I gain. If I go under one hundred I lose a couple of pounds. When o was in weight loss mode I stayed around 100.     Anyone in education getting sleeved?

    I was lucky, I'm a para in a high school and I had a sleeve done two years ago. My insurance covered it, so I spent the school year jumping through hoops and was able to schedule it early in the summer. Be prepared for fatigue. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    I occasionally have a piece of chocolate or a few tic tacos. Haven't tried skittles or laffy taffy. My thought is if they don't trigger you to over eat then once you're at goal, every once in a while wouldn't hurt. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Ugh... why the hell did I do that?

    I soo understand. I'm two years out and usually mindful of my eating and have few surprises, however I am suffering tonight after eating a little two much spaghetti and a Brussels sprout salad with light vinaigrette dressing. Followed by dance aerobics. It turned my stomach into a gas factory, bloated and in pain, after several hours it's passing, but wow! I will not do that again.     Wrinkles

    I'm 54, 52 when I had surgery, I noticed that I got forehead wrinkles and turkey wattles. The wattles are better although not gone and I'm getting used to the wrinkles. Of course my skin is loose in other areas, although exercise has tightened my abdomen some. All in all it's livable Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  12. I get asked how much I can eat and there's a gentleman who freeks when he sees me . We've run into me twice since weight loss and did't recognize me at first either time and was excited both times with how I look. Drives me a little nuts. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  13. I've had the sleeve and am two years out and in maintenance. I eat around 1,200 calories a day and eat low carb less than 140 grams or I tend to gain a couple of pounds over what i am. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Where do you buy clothes?

    WellI still buy some things from Woman Within I also buy from Jessica London,Old Navy, and have found some good basics at Wal-Mart . I buy a mixture of plus and regular sizes. I'm a fourteen/sixteen in plus and a sixteen/ eighteen in misses. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  15. I'm almost two years out and eat between 1,100 to 1300 calories a day. I eat between 60 and eighty grams of Protein a day. I try to eat no more than 120 grams of carbs a day. When I go over 150 grams, I gain. That said I have maintained my weight within a two pound variation for a year. I am still considered obese, but am a size 16 down from a size 26/28 and 100 pounds down so am happy. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    What Are Your Summer Plans?

    Belgium Guy, twinkles are gross, so you'r not missing anything, my nutritionist also said I could eat whole grain bread and Pasta, I just need to keep under 140 grams in carbs a day.
