My surgery was originally scheduled for April 28th and rescheduled for May 26th. I did not lose the required amount of weight requested and I was not tracking my food daily. Not insurance requirements but my program's requirements.
Like you, I was completely heart broken. Now I realize it was the best thing for me. It gave me another month to really prepare for the surgery and new lifestyle.
As disappointing as being resceduled is, it could be for the best.

Oh wow...how were you able to do that? I've read so many people can't set it lower than 1200 cal? ThanksMy calories are set for 700 on myfitnesspal.
Up under goals you can change it.

I was so proud of myself when I did my liquid diet and did not cheat. Never thought I had the will power for it. I now realize that it not only shrinks your liver but it prepares you to start your new journey.
I never ate cottage cheese before; I eat it now becuase it has a good amount of Protein in it.
I hate most Protein water; I drink it because I need the help with protein.
I'm horrible with taking my vitamins; I always have been but recently set up reminders for these.
I loved Pasta and potatoes pre-op; Haven't had them becuase it's not recommended.
Most things in life are a choice.

I was thankful that I did not have to get up evey hour that first night to use the restroom,. Mine's was taken out the next day. I stayed in the hospital for two days.

I was sleeved on May 26th and weighed 300 lbs. I am 5 weeks out and weigh 271 lbs. Fotunately I did not hit the dreaded three week stall or maybe I did and just didn't realize it.
My relationship with the scale has definitely changed. I still weigh myself almost daily but I have found that the number no longer sends me into a frenzy. I think reading so much here I finally realized that the scale does not make or break success.
I am on soft foods and dabbling with some regular foods. Had chicken and some pulled pork. No beef. I really want a salad and some fresh fruit. Waiting to here back from NUT.
I truly have found that this forum prepared me for surgery and post-op.

I am on full liquids until June 19th. I can have yogurt, runny hot cereals like cream of wheat, grits and oatmeal, thinned creamed Soups and Protein Shakes. This morning I drunk an entire Premier Protein shake. It took a couple of hours but I finished it. I'm also using a straw which has helped with getting fluids in tremendously.

I have never had a yeast infection before. I had surgery on May 26th and came home May 28th. Since I've been home I have a funny smell down there. No itching or anything like that. Could it be a yeast infection or just the meds?

I had surgery on Tuesday. I'm resting when I need to. I probably could do everything except paintball. My energy level is not where it was before surgery so I am easily tired. Be kind and gentle with yourself

Surgery was on May 26th. I have been walking and sipping but this gas will not leave. Out damn gas! Out damn gas! Lol.
Catheter and IV are gone. Hopefully I will be discharged tomorrow. I'm looking forward to the next phase in this journey.

On my way to the hospital. Good luck everyone

I was told to use the soap the night before and the day of.
Today is Day 7 for all liquids. Tomorrow I can only do Clear Liquids. Not getting nervous yet but I'm positive I will.
-
I am on Day 5 of my all liquid diet. 2 more days to go of Protein shakes. On Monday I have to do all Clear Liquids with nothing to drink after 11 pm. Surgery is at 11:00 am on Tuesday.
For me, Day 3 was the worst. I had a horrible headache and was exhausted. It has gotten better since then.
Just stick with it. It will all work out in the end for us.

I am on Day 4 of my liqid diet and have lost 7 lbs so far.

As some of you know I was originally scheduled for April 28th. I went in for my pre-surgical appointment on April 22nd and was rescheduled tenatively for May 26th becuase I did not lose all of the weight required.
Just left pre-surgical appointment and I will be sleeved on May 26th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Day 3 of liquid diet.
I'm excited and it just got real!

So today I am starting my pre-op diet again after having my surgery rescheduled from April 28th to May 26th. Luckily, my girlfriend here at work is doing the liquid diet with me. For lunch, we took our shakes and walked to the riverfront. As we were talking we concluded that the first day of the liquid diet is not the worst, we think day 2 is.
Which day was the worst for you?

I am scheduled for May 26th as well. I will be 37 on the 14th, I am single with no children and from Detroit.
I am excited to get this weight off and being healthier.
Alcohol! Alcohol! Alcohol!

I am only 8 weeks out from surgery BUT I am so sick and tired of seeing posts (I have stopped reading them) about "when can I have alcohol?". For me, this is the farthest thing from my mind. I have yet to hit my calorie goal of 700 and some days don't get all of my Protein and Water in. So it baffles me that people so early out are worried about the alcohol.
I do realize that this is a public forum and everyone has their right to post whatever topic they choose.
It certainly seems like there have been a ton of them this week.
Now I will get over it.
