  2. NAH......I wouldn't hold it against you that you are a Bears' fan. Someone has to be a Bears fan...if not they wouldn't have any fans at all!!! lol I will be back from Mexico the day that you have your surgery so I hope to see posts on your progress
  3. MIne is the day after yours....Oct 30...........CANNOT WAIT!!!!!!
  4. Auntiemel, that was my original plan.....to have it in December BUT.....an opportunity arose to have it done earlier and honestly I was having a hard time focusing on school, and I wanted to hurry up and get it done with. So since I am not one to dilly dally...I took the opportunity and I'm hoping that I can refocus and pull the semester out :-)
  5. Twirpo75.......what a great post!!!! My surgery date is October 30th and honestly I am saying outloud.....WTF am I about to do????, then I do something simple like bend over and tie my shoes and I get winded after tying one shoe and have to sit up and catch my breath, then do the other one. Then I say to myself...."this is exactly the reason why you are about to do this!" Congrats on the 53 lbs. gone!!!
  6. I am curious to know from everyone.........How long did you take off from work after being sleeved?? I am a student in college and if I miss 4 classes......I am out...PERIOD!!! No questions, no return to school slips, no nothing. If I have my surgery on Thursday....could I go back to class that following Thursday?? I know that everyone's results are different.......just curious to hear them. THANKS!!!!
  7. Ma3, GOOD LUCK ON YOUR JOURNEY!!! I hope to see you post your updates on here!!
  8. HI Glass!!! I am excited and happy for you!! I had to have my surgery right at Halloween time so I wouldn't be tempted to turn off all the lights in my apartment and binge out one last time on all that GREAT Halloween candy!!
  9. OCSlim, I havent had surgery yet. I am having mine on October 30th. I went through Specialized Bariatrics. I first I was going to use Dr. Lopez.......but there was a little confusion in the booking because he will be in Guadajalara that week, so they told me that his wife, Dr. Osuna, was available in Tijuana that week. I've had 2 friends use Dr. Osuna and 1 use Dr. Lopez......so I am confident with either surgeon.
  10. DeanieG, good luck on your journey. will be looking forward to reading your updates. When I told my kids (son 23 & daughter 18) it was like "ok dad......we will see you when you get back."
  11. GOOD LUCK AMPER02!!! JerzyTomato74.....you must be a Jets fan!!! I hope to see updates from all of y'all!!!
  12. Manibeaux, the most important thing to remember on the flight home is to be like a little kid and fidget!! Keep your legs and feet moving and get up once or twice to stretch your legs!! GOOD LUCK in your journey and I hope to see you post some updates!!!
  13. Kbird, which Protein are you using? I have bought several different kinds, brands, and flavors.
  14. Dr. Lopez , Dr. Osuna, and Dr. Venezuela are excellent bariatric surgeons. Very high NO leak rate. I am using Dr. Osuna. Her fee is $4300 and airfare from Dallas Love to San Diego round trip was $287 on Southwest Airlines.

  17. BeagleLover, how does the doctor remove the gas?? I've never heard that before??
  18. Hi!! check into Dr. Lopez, Dr. Osuna, or Dr. Venezuela in Tijuana. They are all excellent surgeons. Paying cash you could have it done in 3-4 weeks. GOOD LUCK with your journey and keep us all posted!!!
  19. I was going to go with Dr. Lopez but he is in Guadalajara the last week of October, so I am going with his wife, Dr. Osuna
