    Gaining...help

I've been slowly gaining weight and I need some advice. I'm one year + out from RNY and I know I've been eating all the wrong things, but I seem to always be hungry! Anyone else experience this? How did you "kick-start" your correct diet again?

  5. 4 years has passed since you registered at LapBandTalk! Happy 4th Anniversary joolz1226!

  6. Hi everyone! I'm new to this forum. I am 3+ years post-op. I lost 100 lbs, but have slowly gained back about 15 lbs. My doctor tells me I'm doing fine because I've pretty much maintained steady wl for over a year. My problem is that recently my fills have not worked. I went in one week, got a small fill and found that I was having dull pain near the band, so I drove right back and had an unfill. I waited a few weeks, then had a .3cc fill two weeks in a row and I'm so hungry. Why did the fill feel too tight one week, and then too loose the next few weeks? I find that I'm eating things I haven't been able to digest in a few years--breads, pasta, etc. I think my 10cc band is at least at 6cc's, so the office is hesitant to give me a lot more--they think I'm at the end of my fill capacity. Any suggestions?

    Two questions--PB and swelling

Thank you! When I try to explain what happens to food that gets stuck to a non-bander, I never knew the term (it's not vomiting, not really regurgitating, etc). Now I know what to call it! I'm glad I'm not the only one who's band is tighter in the morning. I thought that either it was too filled, or I was doing something wrong. Someone suggested drinking warm Water before anything else. I PB coffee in the morning. No fun!
  8. Hi! Could you please tell me what PBing means? Also, I was wondering if it is normal to have swelling in the morning, so much that even warm Water has a hard time going down. Most of the time by the afternoon I'm okay, but since my last fill of 4/8, I'm not able to eat as many solid Proteins as I think I should.

    Stoma swelling

Hi. last Monday, 4/6 I had another .3 cc's put in, bringing me up to almost 6 cc's in my band (I've been banded for about a year). Well, a few days later (Wednesday) after I couldn't even swallow any Water, I realized it was too tight and irritated, and got .2 cc's removed, which helped for the rest of that day. Now, every morning I wake up to my stoma being so swelled that even water has a hard time passing through. I find that the irritation goes away by the afternoon, and I'm able to drink Protein drinks or mushy stuff, but then the process repeats itself and the next morning it's back to being irritated again. I've been taking a pepcid in the morning and at night per my PA's direction, but it doesn't seem to help. Has anyone had that problem? My doctor unfortunately is about 1 1/2 hours away, so it's not like I can just "pop" into his office, either. Thank you!

    Am I overfilled?

Is it all foods or just certain foods? I usually find when that happens to me, it's my body's way of telling me that I can't eat that certain food.
