  1. As soon as i was ready to move, i was able to wear loose sweats and my own tank top, and my own slippers. Bring comfy clothes, you shouldn't have to stay in your hospital gown.
  2. It depends on the doctor. 2 days clear liquids, then 7 days full liquids here. Try cutting the shake with a touch of water, or milk. I also use Isopure mixed with powerade zero. I am on day 3, and have gotten 71g of protein, and about 35 oz fluids. All my fluids had protein in them. I feel good, no nausea, or vomitting.
  3. Getting ready to get everyone up so they can get ready and out the door. Headed to drop kiddos off with my parents, then off to check in for my sleeve! I can't believe the day has finally arrived! Cannot wait to see you all on the Loser's Bench!! Much love to all!

    Hunger post sleeve

I didn't have a liquid pre-op diet. I can tell you that 3 days post-op, I am not remotely interested in food.

    February sleevers

If you want to be added, pm me your fb info, so i can friend you, then add you. It is a secret group, you cannot see it without an invite.
  6. I had surgery around 10:30am wednesday, and was discharged at 6am thursday. No nausea, no vomitting. The staff was amazing. I got some extra iv fluids before I left. I feel very fortunate, that my only real issue is my lower abdomen, where they pulled my stomach out, hurts. It feels like I am ripping something inside when I move. Gas pains have mostly gone away.

    February sleevers

Feb 18, so I am on day 3. So far no nausea or vomitting. It is tough getting fluids in. I am making sure my fluids and protein are the same thing. I had 8 oz protein shake, mixed with milk 39 g protein, it took me 2hrs 45 min to get it down. Now I am sipping on Isopure mixed with powerade zero. I have been walking. I am not even remotely hungry, watching people eat doesn't bother me at all.
  8. Today is the day! I will be checking in at 8:30am. I am so excited, and nervous! See you all on the Loser's Bench!
  9. Don't worry about the cpap. I have never actually slept any good length of time with mine, because I am a ridiculously finicky sleeper. I turned it on every night, tried to use it, and end up pulling it off. I was cleared because i made the effort. I was able to sleep with it on after surgery though..I assume due to the meds I was given. My surgical center is awesome. The nurses, docs, anesthesiologist. They took phenominal care of me. There was 1 other woman there, so I nevet waited for help, or for my meds.
  10. I wore my own clothes after surgery. Loose sweats, and a tank top. I also had slippers. I hate hospital gowns. All my monitors worked witg my own clothes as well. I wasn't given a shaper, but the idea of anything tight in me, freaks me out.
  11. I had my sleeve yesterday. Aside from gas pain, I am doing pretty good. My diet is like this: 2 days clear liquid-water, diluted apple or cran juice, jell-o, broth. Tomorrow starts 7 days protein liquids, this includes protein drink, milk, cream soups, yogurt, pudding, nothing can have chunks. Then 7 days puree, then 14 days mushies.
  12. 45 min from the time they took me back, and spoke to my husband. But I was in recovery for 2ish hours, and not really very awake until after 3. I had surgery about 10:30.

    Feb 18..Today is the day!

It went really well for me. My biggest issue is gas pain, it is no effin joke! It does feel like I have done 10,000 crunches. I have no nausea, been walking the halls, slept. I am finishing up my last bag of fluids, then I think the IV comes out, since my hubs will be picking me up in an hour or so. I am going to miss my recliner bed here.

    Feb 18 is here!

Doing pretty good!! The gas pain is real, no freakin joke! Belly is a little sore and swollen, but I expected that. If anyone is in Washington, I definite recommend Puget Sound Bariatric. My doc, Landerholm, is amazing, the staff is amazing. They treat you with dignity, and respect.

Cheated every day of 7 day pre op diet

I 100% applaud, and have so much respect for people that can follow a diet 100% to the letter, and not give in to temptation. I mean that. I wish I was that strong. I am having this surgery to help me with control, as a tool. I think we all get a little defensive when we feel like we are being judged by others that obviously had similar issues at one time. It can feel like you don't remember or understand the struggle. I have cheated on my pre-op, I do not feel ill prepared. I have spent an incredible amount of time watching you tube, reading, talking with people that have had it done. It has comsumed my life for a year. While I plan on following a low carb, high protein diet after being sleeved, I refuse to deprive myself. My NUT also suggests not depriving yourself. Everything in moderation. I am very sorry if I offended anyone on this thread.

It looks like in order to add you to the secret group, I have to add you to my friends list. If you send me yournadd info, i can friend you, and then add you. You certainly do not have to remain on my friends list if you don't want to. I do not post about my weight, or wls. pm your fb name or info and I will be happy to add you.
