    February sleevers

Okay, so for you all that want to join the feb group, send me a friend request on fb jen wedin mitchell, and maybe pm me so i know that's why you are sending the request.
  2. Sometimes pain meds can make you a little agitated. Maybe back off of them a bit. Itchy incisions are a sign of healing!! Your large incision will likely hurt a whole lot around the 2 1/2-3 week mark, for a few days. There are stitches, deep in the torn muscles there that need to heal.
  3. Getting winded easily, sharp chest pains can be serious. I would call your doc, now.

    Back pain?

I am just over 3 weeks out, and have some lower back pain, likely from favoring my ab muscles, to avoid pain at the incision sites. At about 2 1/2 weeks, I had muscle pain around the large incision, my back hurt the most then. Now it seems better. When in doubt, call your surgeon.

    Still Feeling Nauseous

I had zero nausea until I started the soft food stage, now I only feel nauseated if I eat too fast, or a bite too much.

    Meal help needed!

Crock Pots are amazing. You can make your own roast chicken in them, chili, potato soup, roast, excellent enchilada chicken, various types of shredded chicken. I love my crock pot. Very little time spent, and you get many delicious meals.

    Abdominal pain?

That is the 2-3 week muscle pain I guess it is from the internal stitch in the muscle. Mine hurt, a-lot, for about 6 days. The surg gave me a muscle relaxer, I took it for 2 nights, and it's gone. It was extremely painful, likely because I have a 15mo old I have to tote around.
  10. Maybe the artificial sweetners are an issue? My nut had me switch from Powerade Zero to G2 for extra cals. If I drink, or eat too quick, I get sick, or feel like I am going to. I hope you feel better soon. Nausea is the pits

    Post Op Shopping List?

Sugar free Jell-O, and pudding, already made and portioned out. I had Unjury Chicken Soup powder, it tastes like top ramen broth, Unjury Chocolate, which works amazing when you are on protein, you can put it in your pudding I also had Isopure (grape and Lemon Black Tea) to mix with Crystal Light. Shaker bottles, one for sweet, one for the chicken soup protein. 2 water bottles, one for water, one for Isopure. I use half a bottle of isopure with 10-12 oz of G2, powerade zeo, or crystal light. Sugar free popsicles are good too. Those were my life savers. Oh, and get small bowls, plates, and toddler spoons.
  12. Isopure is not very tasty alone, but you can mix it with something else. I have used Grape Frost, and Black Tea with Lemon. I do 1/2 bottle isopure (20 g protein and 10oz fluids), with either Crytsal Light, or G2, another 10-12 oz fluids. I sip it all day, adding ice as I go. The Black Tea tastes the best, in my opinion.

    Muscle relaxer?

I was just prescribed a muscle relaxer by my surgeon for some muscle pain I am having.
  15. As soon as I was awake enough, I put my cozy jammy pants, and tank top on. It was no problem. I was able to move easier when I had to walk, and I felt comfy. I had 2 monitors on my chest, an IV, and a bp cuff. When hooked upto the iv, I took it with me, the bp cuff, and monitors just came off when I needed to potty or walk.

I never thought I'd have this problem

So, at what point post-op did you notice the biggest drop in sizes?

    Drinking Sodas with sleeve?

I was not a big soda drinker pre-op, and am not quite 3 weeks post-op. I do hope to be able to have a sip or two of Coke later on, but if not, I won't be too upset. Like a previous poster said..there is always Coke Slurpees.
  18. I use half of a bottle of Isopure, mixed with 12oz G2, or crystal light. I drink on that all day, adding ice periodically.
  19. My gas pain only lasted about 3 days, but I made myself burp constantly, and walked a ton. I suggest lots of burps, and move your bod. It will help. Those gas pains are no joke!

    No problems...'til vitamins

For me it is the multi-vit. They have always made me sick. I have to eat before I take it, and it still makes me nauseated. I HATE it. Dread taking it.

    February sleevers

For Isopure, I recommend using half a bottle, with 10oz of Crystal Light, G2, or some other juicey type beverage. It will mask the flavor, and you still get 20g protein. I do this daily, it takes me all day to get it down, I just keep adding ice. I get about 30oz of fluid, and 20g protein If you haven't tried the black tea lemon, I suggest trying it. It's not nearly as bad as the grape.

    Ugh!

Be sure you are hydrated. Dehydration makes you feel weak, tired, and just crappy overall.

    VSG Yesterday

I felt the same way. I seriously loved my dilaudid. I am 2 1/2 weeks out, and have had no issues. I can tell you that if you over do things, it will hurt. Be sure you are getting all your fluids, and protein in..and rest as much as you can! Keep up the good work!
