  1. I would probably try to at arrange for a ride if you can. I am 18 days post-op. I drove again at one week. I probably could have handled it fine at about 5-6 days but my hubby wasn't comfortable with it. I think you're cutting it close as to how you will feel. It really could vary for how you feel. I didn't take any prescription painkillers after 5 days post-op. Definitely could not have driven safely on the prescription pain meds they sent me home with.

  2. michellew1,

I am SO happy for you! I also have Aetna and have one more weigh-in to go. Following this thread has been extremely stressful for me as my final weigh-in gets closer and closer. A week after the weigh-in, I see the surgeon to make sure everything is done before it's sent to Aetna. After reading your story, I am very much toeing the line diet wise and will until the day of surgery! Good luck to you and hopefully I won't be too far behind you!

    This insurance stuff is stressful!

  3. Hey! Was it a "net gain" or just a 3 pound gain? I'm going to send you a link, that Aetna cannot deny you for a gain because they are not doctors!!

Let me find the link and I'll post it.

Fingers are crossed. I also ha a net gain with Aetna and had Walter lindstrom fight my appeal for me. This is a blog from his website....standby!

Thank you so much for sharing that link! It is reassuring. I had a net loss of 15 lbs. Two of my weigh in during the 90 day program I had gains. One of 1 lb. and one with 3 lb. It seems ridiculous to deny due to that but obviously it happens. There could be so many logical reasons for it. Water retention due to a menstrual cycle to name one.
