  1. Yep, you have to update it manually for the weight loss ones by going back to the site and then re-pasting it here. For time countdowns (x number of days til ___) it does it automatically.

  2. Hi! I checked out a recent message and saw you got it going! :) Welcome!!

  3. Good luck tomorrow on your surgery!!

  4. Hi there! I just saw this right now... the port is not always put in the same place, it depends on the surgeon. Mine is on the right, about 4 finger widths down from my bottom rib. It's stitched to my abdominal wall so it won't move. The tubing that leads from the port to the band is longer than it needs to be, so it never "pulls". Some people have their port higher up, or in the center, particularly if they have a lot of abdominal fat. Otherwise getting a fill will be really hard to do - the doc might not find the port.

At my fills, I lie down and raise my legs a couple inches off the table, which makes my port pop out so the doc can find it more easily.

I'm not sure if that answered your question... at least for me, I can't see my port sticking out. But then I still have lots of belly fat to lose -- that's where most of my excess weight hangs out.
