  1. Wishing all a happy Chanukah and a happy New Year. My NSV was being able to get down on the floor and play the traditional dreidel game with my kids.
  2. Thank G-d, all is well. My 6-week labs showed my iron is pretty low which may help explain why I've been feeling so weak. Made some adjustments and going to recheck blood in 8 weeks. Other than that, doing well on water intake, averaging about 60 grams of protein, and about 450 calories per day. Monday will be 7 weeks. Down about 35 since surgery.
  3. Going for my 6-week appointment tomorrow. How time flies when you're having fun....
  4. Yes, it has been, although Zantac and ranitidine have all been recalled over the past few months. It has also been linked to stillbirth and birth defects. I'm actually an attorney filing these cases, mostly for Zantac causing cancer.
  5. I drink vegan OWYN every day. Not bad. https://liveowyn.com
  6. They are discontinued a couple of years ago.
  7. Have you been using Zantac by any chance?
  8. Can't believe it's 5 weeks today. Down 29 since surgery, 4.2 in BMI, and 6.5% body fat, at least according too my scale..... I wish I had more energy, but that should come pretty soon.
  9. I'm thinking of joining Crossfit at 6-8 weeks PO, but a little concerned about the energy required. At what point did you join and did you have enough food and nutrients to keep you going?
  10. So, my doctor is a great surgeon, but not great on the nutrition part and I'm a little lost. I'm 4 weeks PO and trying to get ready for the months ahead. Looking for a nutritionist with experience in bariatric surgery that I can consult with if anyone has any recommendations.
  11. My surgery center has monthly meetings. I world be interested in an online support/ accountability group.
  12. Sorry to hear. Hang in there. It gets better.
  13. I used my kid's sippy cup for the first 10 days. Worked great.
  14. Tomorrow is 3 weeks since I was sleeved. This weekend has been miserable. I feel like I have mono (which I had 20 years ago). I have zero energy and feel very sluggish. I just want to go back to sleep. I am getting in my liquids and at least 60 grams of protein. I started taking vitamins last week. I am eating 350-500 calories a day. My urine is pretty clear so I don't think it is dehydration. I felt strong urges for carbs to get some strength. I had a pretty busy and stressful week at work and I think I may have overdone it. I also started eating non-pureed salmon and chicken on Friday. I just started taking iron on Friday night (40 mg). Not sure if this is just my body telling me to take it easier or something more serious. Any thoughts welcomed.
  15. I was also sleeved on November 4th.
  16. Great to hear. Safe travels.
  17. Sounds like gas? Should go away in a few days.
