  1. Sleeved 9/23 and weighed 259 at my highest. I'm down to 174 and have never felt better!! Best decision ever!! Running my first half marathon 11/8 when a year ago I couldn't climb a flight of stairs without dying. Congrats to all my fellow sleevers!
  2. Hi everyone! Vicky here. I was sleeved 9/23/14. I'm down almost 60 lbs. From 256 to 197 but honestly have been stuck for like 3-4 weeks now when I was losing 2 lbs weekly. Very scared that this is it, but thanks to you guys, I'm keeping the faith that weight loss will pick up again on a few weeks. Fingers crossed. I'm still 36 lbs from my goal weight
  3. Don't lose hope guys. I'm only down 19 lbs and was sleeved 9/23. I had lost 15 lbs in a liquid diet prior to surgery as required to go on liquid diet for 2 weeks. I've been frustrated and my doctors have told me that everyone is different and that after a year we all lose the weight we need to. Keep the faith!
  4. I take gummy calcium and vitamin D. Only thing dr said no too was gummy multi vitamins.

  6. 9/23 Sleever down 32lbs (17 since surgery). Losing slowly but surely. Still dealing with the shoulder pain but being told my my doctor that it's the stitch from the Hiatal Hernia he repaired and it may be a few months ???????? lol. Feel good otherwise. I am just frustrated as heck with foods. It's such a battle each meal to make sure what I eat is enjoyable and worry free. Make sure you chew, are you full??, the food didn't go down well. I just want to be able to eat food and simply feel ok on small portions.
  7. Looks like there's a few of us here experiencing some of the same stuff. I was sleeved 9/23 and have only lost 15 lbs and still battling the dreaded shoulder pain that comes on whenever I have any stomach discomfort or for any other reason. Icing and hot cold patches help deal with it but wondering when that will end. I've lost 3 lbs steadily but it's been frustrating. Thought I would've lost more. No stalls yet but awaiting its arrival with my luck lol!!

  10. @Danie1114. You just made my day. Will check in with you as the days go by. We will get through this. Thank God for this blog!!!
  11. Hi All! Sleeved on 9/23. Drinking tons of water and for the most part eating chicken salad, eggs, etc. on puree till next Wednesday. My biggest issue is I haven't lost much weight. I weighed 256 and went down to 241 on the 14 day pre op liquid diet. 241 day of surgery and now am at 229. I'm probably eating 500-600 calories a day. The other issue I'm still battling is horrible shoulder pains from the gasses. I'm being told it could take 6 weeks to go away. Any sleevers out there who have had similar experience? Especially lack of weight loss in first month. Very disheartening.

    So embarrassed!

Don't give up. A week before my surgery I sat on an airplane where the seatbelt barely closed and where my thighs trickle under the arm rest. Poor guy next to me had to deal with it. It was at that moment when I knew there was no turning back.
  13. That's pretty accurate!! Had mine this past Tuesday.
