    JPMorgan UHC ChoicePlus

Yes, approved as a revision which means I don't have to meet any of the usual criteria. Typically, they would require six months supervised diet, BMI requirements, etc.
  2. You and I sounds like the same person! I have many of the same reasons for wanting the surgery. To be able to do more of what I already do, with less sweating, heavy breathing and feeling like the fattest mom in the room. I hope I can be as successful as you. You look amazing!
  3. Lovely - how much weight do you have to lose? I have heard of band to sleevers not losing as much as a virgin sleeve. I am terrified of this happening to me. I have had my band out for two years though so am hoping when I am sleeved next week my body responds more like a virgin sleeve. I did NOT lose with the band so am pretty scared of failing again.
  4. Hi buddy! I'm on 10/02 and so nervous. I just got the call of approval today and will be sleeved next week in Scottsdale, AZ. I wasn't given a pre-op diet to follow. Maybe because I haven't seen the doctor yet. I wonder if I should put myself on one?? I already stocked up on a months worth of Protein shakes.

    JPMorgan UHC ChoicePlus

I have been searching and searching for info from others who used UHC and never really found the answer. Now that I received an answer from UHC thought I'd share. The situation: Lap Band self pay in 2007. It was a fail and caused many issues (sliming, puking daily, no weight loss). BCBS paid for removal in 2012. JPM requires the 6 month diet plan. I do not have this documented as I was working w/ a trainer (doesn't count). IF UHC would approve as a revision instead of a new WLS all pre-op requirements would be waived. I do have sleep apnea as well. Met with surgeon begin of Sept. Insurance submitted by 09/12 and APPROVAL received today 09/24!!! Drop the confetti people!! My surgery date is next week. OMG I can't believe it. So thrilled.
