  1. im 1 week out and ive been on purees from the day after surgery.i do 2 to 3 Protein Shakes a day and im able to eat 2x a day.about 2 or 3 tsps. of Soup or chile.I luv being able to just taste something and not want eat a hole lot of food!!!no problems,some indigestion but nothing tums wont help!i also take protenix every morning and it keeps the acids at bay.alot of the hunger your feeling is mostly the acids in your new belly.


  2. you just read my mind!im actually 5 days post up and am having my first cup of decaf.im dying for a regular cup of coffee!!couple more weeks!i didn't stop my 3 cups a day of caffeine until the day before my surgery when I was on all clear.my dr wanted me to stop 2 weeks before but I just couldn't!too much to give up a once!!food,wine,coffee,cigerettes and coffee what!!!lol



  3. I waited till first post op appointment.. I was sleeved oct 1.. And saw doctor Tuesday oct 7.. Lost 15lbs.. Not even full week.:

    Wow your doctor started right away on puréed food.. I'm dying for that.. So tired of the full liquid..

    Yeah I purposely don't have a scale yet.. Will get one at one month post op.. Lauren

    my dr starts you on pureed foods day after surgery as long as leak test is good.trust me Water and Protein shakes are much more consuming then 2oz of tuna!!!I had to do a 2 week pre op all liquids and I don't even miss food right now!!!

Hi all,just got sleeved 0ct 6th and feeling pretty good.doc started me on pureed foods day after surgery.im doing good with Water and Protein Shakes and 1 pureed chicken salad.2oz,more then enough!just wondering howlong everyone waited to weigh themselves after surgery.im so full of gas I don't feel that ive lost anything yet!i know 4 days isn't long enough and im really going to hold out until my doc apt at 10 days post up.but just wondering if anyone lost right away!

    @dana825.im 3 days post op and feeling okay.i was in hospital overnite and thet broght me chicken broth, tea,cranbury juice and Water for breakfast.1 sip each!lunch was tuna, creamy chicken broth,decaff tea and water again 1 taste each!i got 1 premier choc in today,took 6hrs to drink it.had a 1/4 cup chicken salad pureed with broth.still working on my smart water from 8 am.thats 33oz.and walk walk walk


  6. had mine on the 6th along with gall bladder.feeling better then I thought.morhine made me nausaus but they tried all the meds for it and nurse gave me a suppository and that is what helped!came home yesterday after I was able to hold down chicken brith for Breakfast 2 teaspoons,and had to small forks of tuna for lunch.after 2 weeks of liquids before surgery im on purees already.not trying anything else until I can get Water and proptien drinks down!


  7. oct 6!right around the corner!so after doing 2 week Protein Shakes only,tomoorow I do clear fluids all day and of course nothing after midnite.checking into mercy hosp at 5 45 am!im first up and hoping it wont be to long in surgery.im having not only having sleeve done but also gallbladder and minor hiatal hernia done.my poor belly button!!that's the only incision there will be!!oh I only lost 6lbs on this liquid :[


  8. 5 more days for me!!went for my pre surgical tests yesterday and im nervouse,my cardiogram came out abnormal,what??I had a full nuclear stress tess in august and ecos and every possible heart tests out there.how can this be?i passed evry test from my cardio dr.i guess I will find out today from my dr whats going on.after all this pray that its nothing.


  9. Hi..im also on my pre-op diet and for me day 5&6 i only consumed about 500 calories a day.....i wasnt hungry just thirsty.. but by day 9-10 which is today i felt so hungry...being that im so limited as to what i can eat today was depressing.

    OMG im starvinggggg!today is day 6 for me and im on 4 Protein Shakes a day and 1 8oz glass of skim milk and 1 serving low carb plain yougart[yuk].what I have been doing is having 3 shakes and putting 1 scoop choc powder in yogart and it tastes like choc pudding and 1 scoop of pwder in skim milk.still trying to cut back on the coffee.its rough.
