I was dead man walking until my blood labs highlighted that I was extremely low on B12. Doc prescribed B12 shots and I am like a new person. I get in 11 or more miles a day now walking, walking, walking. I am retired so I have the time and I hate sitting still now. I have to be up and moving. Good thing is even the dog is loosing weight. Poor girl! Ha! She sees the leash and says "really, again?" ????

You can do this! We are the same post op and it has been a struggle today for me with energy and just getting moving. Try strained cream of chicken with milk ...this seems to help fill be up when I feel really hungry. You got this!

I had my gastric sleeve on the 29th so I am now 5 days post op. My surgery was completely painless ,not even mild discomfort. I went home the next evening. I'm on the prescribed strained liquid diet with no source of fat or added sugar. My sugar levels are normal after nearly 5years. I have lost 5.5kgs which is 12 pounds. My scars are stitch less and are healed. I have no reflux or acidity problems..I don't feel hungry and I'm doing great so far.

24 hours since I was in recovery and feeling great. Dr told me they are kicking me out because I'm making it look too easy and im too nice....I'll take that anyway. My only issues were painful in recovery until they got the pain under control and when I was moved to pills for pain and hbp medications it gaveme heartburn. I have never been so happy to be in clothes vs a hospital gown. Hope all my fellow 9/30 sleeves are doing great and going home today.

I am so excited I have to go tonight to get another new pair of jeans that fit! I buy the same style and brand every time as it helps me gauge how far I have come. Lol. So I get to drop another size tonight. Yippee! Just in time for a trip to
Chicago this weekend. scale don't move fast enough for me but drop jean sizes about every two to three weeks. Hoping by Christmas to be in a size 8. That is my goal!

FYI, for those having difficulty getting in Protein because of the taste, try using Diet hot chocolate and add a scoop of unflavored whey isolate Protein Powder. The one I use is Unjury. It's warm, easy on the stomach, and taste great. Can't even tell the protein is in it.

Surgery was yesterday. Doctor said it went perfectly. I just had my leak test and everything looks great! Now someone bring me Water and juice ha ha! Haven't had anything since Tuesday night. The gas is horrendous though. Yuck!

I am finally schedualed for the 29th of September. I was schedualed for August 21st but had some delays and now finally get to do it September 29th! Yay! How's your liquid diet going! I'm on liquids too!

I want to join this kick a$$ September group! I just got my approval today and they are in the process of scheduling me for the week of 9/22. I am excited with a side of terrified (little food humor there...)

My date is September 30th as well! I'm totally excited. Not really nervous.

Good morning guys! So I have to tell you being completely honest here yesterday after I came out of anesthesia I thought Jesus was calling me home but...I always have problems with nausea after surgery. Had my procedure done at 630 AM and by 10 last night I felt amazing. No pain no nausea no soreness was able to get up and move around a little still in the hospital but will be getting realized around dinner. Thanks for all the support and prayers and one more thing, I AM FINALLY POST OP! HALLELUJAH!!!! Can't wait for all my fellow September sleevers to be where I'm at

I am sleeved!!! Surgery was pushed to 1:30 PM so I am 13 hrs post op n doing great???? I was in my room by 5 and up walking by 8. Got a little nauseous when I walked so the gave me some meds n was fine right away. I did take some pain meds ( prob why I did so great.... Lol) which interfered with my saturation levels a bit but fall is great now .
I go in at 9:30 AM for the Dye test so wish me luck???? h

Hello, I just found this site. it is going to be great to hear from other people what they are going through with me. My surgery is scheduled for September 22, 2014. YEP in 6 days..... I am on the pre-op Protein Drinks and Clear Liquids also and my surgeon said I can have 1/2 cup of non-startchy vegetables a day. I usually have cukes and look forward to them cause I am so hungry!! today when I left a store, I just stood in the parking lot and breathed in the air cause someone was cooking steak or something and it smelled SOOOO GOOD..... LOL keep in touch, good luck!! Its a new journey never taken before, but will be better one day at a time..... Judy

I am a September 30th surgery date as well, but still waiting for final insurance approval.
