  1. Hello Everyone,

I was sleeved on July 30th, I'm starting to feel like my old but new self. I'm getting my Protein shakes down and all the Vitamins that I'm required to get, haven't noticed my hair falling out as of yet, and hope that doesn't happen, I have so little to begin with. I started in a 12-13 size pants and i'm now down to a size 7-8 . Shirts were xl or xxl and now down to a m-L , it has been many many years since i was this size . I love the compliments and that ppl are starting to really notice, makes it all worth while . I feel good!!!! I love this sight, it really does help especially in the beginning with the stalls, the wondering if you will ever be able to get all you need in one day sometimes it was very overwhelming so I would like to say thank each of you for sharing your stories, God Bless you all!!!!

  2. I use herbalife , i add my Protein in with it and the taste is wonderful, usually get the Cookies and cream . Their shakes are only 24 grams of Protein, mine is 34 grams so with both i have most of my protein for the day, still eat the high protein foods for the extra though this is a total of 24 carbs. my protein only has 2 grams of carbs. I usually get the Cookies and cream or the pumpkin , different things for different ppl. :-)

  3. Just a FYI, I have been taking my Protein (34 Grams in a scoop) to herbal life and having them add it to the Cookies and cream shakes, OMG they are delicious and they also give me extra calories (which I need at this point) and also extra Protein and they taste amazing, they also have helped with BM's. Myfitness pal is my best friend and has helped me tremendously . I would highly recommend this app. I'm 11 weeks post op and I finally feel like myself again. Just curious can you see my tickler on this post?

The shake is Vitasport protein 7 , you can buy it at nutri shops, it is fairly new but has the highest grams of protein 34grams in one scoop.

  4. I like most others wished I would have measured myself. The stalls really stink, but don't be depressed or stressed over this the weight will come off eventually. Know that when you are able to enjoy foods that your jaws will hurt for weeks, so i wished i had actually chewed my food 20-25 times just to become use to it. I have no regrets now and I love me now more than ever. I wish you all the luck in the world. :) I was sleeved on July 30th-have now lost 40 pounds, 20-25 more to go...

  5. Good Morning,

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Just wanted to update I'm 7 weeks post op, I have lost a total of 37llbs since surgery. I feel wonderful , I stated doing the MyFitnessPal, this has truly helped me . I can count everything and make sure I'm getting what I need . I had been stuck on the same weight for about 2 weeks but that has passed and I'm so glad. I get to start working out now and I'm really excited about that. I'm really glad that I did the surgery, I know that first week I wondered if i had done the right thing, but I have no regrets now. So keep up the good work and stay positive. :-) Oh and I do have a question where does everyone get the body weight ticker? Would like to have that.

  6. Well Im sure you already relize that every one's experence is a little different as far as mine goes it was going ok untill I was told I had to drink this purple stuff then go get an exray. They didn't happen to tell me I also had to drink this clear stuff (during the exray) which I didn't think it was possible but it tasted worst then the purple. The poor girl I went with threwup as soon as she was done. I waited till we got back to the recovery house. Now Im not sure if every one has to have this exray but because my surgery was In Mexico it's something you have to do before they release you. When I got back to the recovery house they took me up to my room to take out my drain tube which dind't realy hurt just felt werd. Just remember to take a deep breath in and then out when they pul it out. Unfortunaly they took out 2 of my 3 stiches at the site so I have quite a big scare ,as far as how I felt when I got home it felt as if someone had sliced me acrosed the chest put a bowling ball on my chest and closed me up, by the 3 rd day the weight on my chest was cut in half and was total gone by 2 wks. I am only in 4 wks. with my sleeve and have months to go till Im normal again but hope this helps.

Hey Josie, Just curious when you was there in mexico, I had my surgery on July 30th, and I was that person who couldn't keep the purple liquid down and was already vomiting the clear while he was taking the xray. Just curious. :-)

  7. @@SarahSmile, I may need B12, will begin to take those. This morning Vitamins made me sick, nauseous and now stomach is hurting and I'm afraid to eat or drink...lol.

I do the injections because I'm already so tired of taking vit , shakes etc. I mean I still take them but at times it can be overwhelming. So I do the b12 injections , your doctor can order that for you. it gives me energy. Also you can get the B12 pills that desolve under the tongue, they say those work as well.

  8. I had surgery in TJ Mexico on July 30th with Dr. Almanza . Paid $4300.00 , I have had no complications and have followed my instructions from surgeon that was going to do my sleeve, but the ins turned me down because my BMI was not high enough. The staff was very kind and spoke English, I might add. Stayed one night in the OCC and then the motel for 3 nights. The motel is very high class and take very good care of you. I weighted 207 on that day and now weight 174. I'm happy with the results . To me the surgery was nothing its the post op. Heartburn, but on medication now and doing better This site has helped me. I just joined today. :-)

    Good Luck!!!

  9. Hello Everyone, I'm new to this site, had my surgery on July 30th 2014. I was 207llbs and now I'm at 174llbs ! It has been tough, The first few days was not a good time I must say, but each day gets a little better, in two weeks I can start working out and I'm really hoping this helps with some of the depression. And heartburn wow ,,, I thought that was bad when I was pregnant , oh no it has been like 10 times worse. Now on prescription medication so hoping this will get better with time. I still cannot eat much and I do have a hard time with eating as much Protein as the doctor would like for me too. I love Water and was use to drinking about 128 Oz a day. So that is what I miss the most. :-) A friend referred me to this site because on days I really get depressed, not sure why but I do. So reading everyone stories does help. Thanks for listening.
