  2. I'm in Phoenix but just picked two that were closest to me. I just googled it. You're only probably going to see them one time each. Might as well find the cheapest one. My surgeon is Dr. Sprunger and it will be May 15th at st. Luke's as well.

  4. It's normal. You're going to do awesome! Stay mind strong. You deserve it. I'm also the same current weight as you at 226 and my surgery is May 15. Good luck!!
  5. Extra pair of underwear, flip flops and a pillow for the car ride home
  6. Hi!! My surgery is May 13. I'm still smoking and surgeon won't do surgery if I'm still smoking! I've tried to quit. I'm so disgusted with myself! They will test for the chemical that remains in your system after smoking. I need help!! it's hard to be excited when I'm scared that I can't quit!!
  7. So you lost 100lbs. On your own before surgery??
  8. How long does your pain last if you eat too fast? Minutes or hours?

  14. I am having surgery on Nov. 21st. I am clueless as to what I need to do to prepare prior to surgery. The obvious is cleaning the house, laundry, etc. I will find out more at my pre-op appointment on Nov. 10th; however, I'd like to know what you are doing to prepare, where are you purchasing your vitamins, your food ideas, stocking up on water, protein shakes, etc. I just have no clue of what I should be doing. Suggestions please?!?!
  15. I was approved by Healthnet on Oct. 23! I was originally submitting with Care1st as my Primary Insurance and Healthnet as my secondary but I was incorrect. We had to switch my primary around and then resubmit, which only took 48 hours. My surgeons office (Dr. Sprunger) submitted to Healthnet on Oct. 8th and I got my approval on Oct. 23. I was super anxious and excited but now I'm scared as all get out!! I'd like to start a support group in person or via telephone if anyone is interested. I have NO support group right now because I'm not telling my family as they most likely won't approve. I'm in Phoenix, AZ. Please feel free to get in touch. My email is jessica.bullis@yahoo.com. My pre-op appt. is Nov. 10th and my surgery is Nov. 21 (so much for Thanksgiving food!)

  19. My surgery date for gastric bypass is Nov. 21st. Most of my caloric intake is Dr. Pepper and coffee!! I drink probably two 44oz. of Dr. Pepper every day and 2 mugs of coffee with creamer and sugar. I'm extremely nervous about cutting back my soda, but it needs to be done. I already have severe gastritis and Gerd and IBS, so cutting out caffeine will only benefit me.
