Its ok it takes time to break those old habits dont be too hard on yourself..ive been going off track tooo i tend to eat junk food at nights..but as of today i joined one of those calorie counting sites ...i think it will help me realize how much crap im stuffing my face wit and stop...good luck

i know exaclty how u feel...my mom also has the band she got heres a few months before me..and everytime i talk to her she asks....its so annoying and i dont want to be mean to her since she helped me pay for it......i just told her i dont weigh myself until tomorrow and avoid calling her the next day

I am about to rip my sister-in-laws head off!!!! let me give u some background info...sept 06 me and my husband moved 300 miles away from all of your friends and family for work...in march of 07 my sister-in-law moved to the same city as us with her bf....her bf has a cousin with wife a kids who live here too...and i cant stand the cousins family cuz they talked crap about me and my husband...so ever since sept 07 we have been planning to go to this very nice new club that opened up here for new years....my sister-in-law boyfriends friends were going to be in town so we thought it would be fun for all 6 of us to get a table and put on vip and everything...so its new years eve 3:30pm i get a call from her...."i should found out one of my boyfriends friends isnt 21 so we are not going to the club" me im like ok no biggie we will just get to there at my house with everyone....her "well the thing is we are all just going to go hang out at my boyfriends cousins house...they invited my brother" not my brother and his wife!!! there is no way in hell i am going to go!!!! wat gets me sooo mad is that my parents and my in-laws all wanted to come spend new years with us i had to turn them all down cuz we had plans.....now everyone has plans except us........we are stuck home!!!! everywhere i call to get a table or anything is booked solid!!! sorry i just had to get this off my chest before i really hurt her!!!!! i cant even find a damn icon angry enough to show how mad i am!!!! Have a Happy New Years Everyone!!!! oh i even spent 150$ on a god damn new outfit to show off all the weight i have lost!!!!

Im so careful when it comes to drinking....but i messed up the other day.....i just chugged the cup of water really fast...and i felt my pouch get really full for like a 2 mins then i could feel it slowing filling in to my tummy...but no pain just not very comfy...kinda like u feel after a thanksgiving dinner lol really really full!!

:help:I was banded 11/10 and have lost 20lbs in the first 2 weeks. i know its probably cause i was on liq. thens mushies. But i have not lost single weight...im stuck at 224lbs sometimes it jumps to 227 but thats it..I pb at least once a day.....and its my own fault...i dont know when im full....until it gets stuck and comes back up...anyone else have this problem?? my mom was also banded but she was banded a last june and has lost almost 80lbs and everytime i talk to her she makes me feel so guilty that i havent lost anymore weight then then the last time she talked to me...im eating alot less now then i was preband.....why am i not losing weight???? and why cant i feel full.... im very dissapointed in myself....anyone else having problems feeling full???

I have everything ready to go for the big day, when I just realized I dont have a passport, I'm going to be driving down to Mexico, am I still going to need a passport. I have my citzenship certifcate will that work>?

i had the same problem someone on here told if i was using a straw and i was they said i was taking in too much air when drinking with the straw while i was on clear liqs. hope that helps

ok i feel like a totaly failiure!! I was banded Nov 10th. and im going through hell..i have really bad stomach pains...throwing up and have diraheera all night. I know its still early and im still healing up i cant do this one more day.....my question is im self pay in mexico anyone know how much the charge for removal??

hellooo everyone I was banded Nov 10th!! and have lost 12lbs already!!! i just have quick question for those of you who have been banded for a while.....did you notice and hair loss? my mom was banded in June 07 and she is losing hair like crazy....and i have really nice think hair and i dont wanna lose any of it.

I've been offically banded! I stuck with the lapband. I'm 8 hour car ride from mexico, I would rather have a doc see me in the states

Well I lost my cherry yesterday!! I dont ever want that to happen, but the weird thing was that I hadn't eaten anything I think it might have just been gas but never want that to happen again!!!!!

Thanks Cindy I feel a little better today, I slept really good last night didn't wake up once!!! I finally bought some Gas-X and it helped!

Cindy i know exactly what ur talking about.. im in so much pain im starting to regret it!!!! I knew this wasnt going to be a piece of cake but the gas pains are horrible!! and for some reason I cant burp them out I've been able to let them out the other way!! let me know if you find a cure for it

hey everyone! Well I did it!! I'm banded! and lost 5lbs already!! i just have gas pains, not really bad but just not very comfy! I cant wait until i can finally sleep on my tummy! I'm doing the clear liq. diet for the rest of this week. Im not hungry im just very thirsty anyone else have that problem? also for those of you who have been banded a while, am I ever going to be able to just gulp down a glass of cold water without pain?

I had the same problem, but once i started telling him that i wanted to get this done, i started crying i couldnt help it and he totally understood. Just plan a dinner and let him know. Good Luck let us know how it goes.

Hi Everyone!!!! My name is Anita, Im 23years old Dec 8th will be one year I've been married to the man of my dreams! I've been overweight for about 6 years now. I started gaining weight after I found out my boyfriend for almost 8 years had been cheating on me for 2 years. While I was with him, he didn't allow me have any friends and wasn't allowed to talk to most of my family memebers (cousins). So when I found out he was cheating on me, I had no one to turn to by food!! WHEN YOUR IN LOVE YOUR REALLY BLIND TO EVERYTHING!!!! Anyways enough about him!! So I've tried everything from low carb to Jenny Craig to get the weight off but nothing worked!!! This past June my mom went to Mexico and had the lap-band surgery done, she lost almost 40lbs in a few months. Ever since her weight came off, I started researching lap-band! I've lurking around this site for a few weeks now, and have posted some threads but as I get closer to surgery day, I thought I'd introduce myself to everyone here who has helped me so much these past couple of weeks. And I cant wait to share my journey with everyone here. Surgery day is NOV 10th, and Im so excited!! just thinking about it makes me want to throw-up!!! I cant belive I'm going to be thin again!! I'm 5'8 and 240lbs, I want to lose about 80lbs then try to get prego after prego I'd like to work my way down to 130lbs!!!!

Yea I'm now reconsidering I think I might go with the mid-band but do you guys think a doc in the states will see me for fills and what not? I'm about 8 hour drive from mexico, and I dont want to drive all the way down there for a fill or a question you know what i mean?

No one belives me but my husband and I got married in a drive through chapel years before we acutally told our parents we wanted to get married. then when we tried to tell them, we couldnt, cause they were so excited about planning a big wedding, since we are the oldest kids and the frist grandchild to get married!!!!

ok i have a date and i thought I had the financing for it!!!! but my loan just "fell through" watever thats supposed to mean!! Im so bummed my surgery is in a week from tomorrow!!!
