This sounds really good. Is it good re-heated? I am single so it sounds like a lot of work for one unless it reheats well.

You should be proud of that 28 pound loss. I've lost 29 pounds and I am thrilled. You are doing great! It has been 15 weeks since I was banded and that is roughly 2 pounds a week which is great! I've lost 13.8% of my weight. Be proud of yourself! :thumbdown:

Kendra, I am truly sorry that you are having to deal with this. You and your family are in my prayers. If you need anything please don't hesitate to ask. It sounds like your doctors are being aggresive and that is great. I have been putting my pap off for quite some time but I now realize how important it is to stay on top of annual exams. I really want one but I don't want to spend the money. I'm thinking if I do spend the money it will motivate me. Knowing me, I will end up getting it.

I got my hooha waxed for the 1st time yesterday. It hurt but it wasn't too bad. For me, the worst part was just having someone doing that. I know it is their job but it bothers me to lay there while a strange spreads your legs and applies hot wax to one of the most sensitive areas of your body and then rips your hair out by the roots. I know it will get easier each time and I plan on maintaining it. My sister and my best friend also got waxed before I did. It was a girls day of turture. LOL :laugh:

I have bad allergies and have been suffering the last couple of weeks but I have not thrown up or PB'd since I was banded.

Most weight loss pills increase your metabolism and when you stop taking them your metabolism slows way down which will cause you to gain weight. My opinion is that diet pills do more harm than good. The band will work without diet pills. Whatever you do talk to your band surgeon if you decide to take them.

I've lost an average 2 yr old and a guinea pig. I can't wait to get an elephant's penis. LOL :biggrin:

The band is designed to work with fills. Any weight loss before your 1st fill is a bonus. The 1st 4 weeks after surgery are for healing. I was also very hungry before my fills. My 1st fill was good the first few days but after that I was hungry again and could eat anything. My 2nd fill was better and I had some restriction for about a week. My 3rd fill has been great. I have good restriction most days. I've had this fill for 3 weeks. It takes time and fills to get to where you want to be. Be patient. The band will work.

I was told not to drive for 2 days. I'm sure I could have but I didn't need to so I didn't.

Hey Christie, I was also banded by Dr. Spivak. He told me a story before I was banded about a patient that had problems but did not come in and ended up having the band removed and spent 3 weeks in the hospital. I'm not sure what type of problem it was but he said if I was ever concerned about anything to call. He said to never try and wait it out. He said if the patient had come in he could have done an unfill and saved the band. However, I agree that if the pain is now gone you probably pulled a muscle or something. Be sure to call his office if it comes back.

Legster, Congratulations! That is great! What an accomplishment. You should be so proud.

I was a big beer drinker before surgery. I was able to drink it occassionally until my 3rd fill and then it really hurt. It has been almost 4 weeks since that fill and I had one this weekend and it went down ok. I drink wine now and it isn't the same but I am adjusting. I also drink a Diet Coke occassionally but I put it over ice and let it sit awhile before I drink it. I do miss my beer.

Steph, We've all been there. Good for you for being accountable. You are learing and accepting responsibility and that is so important. I've had days like that too. Last week was rough but I managed to not gain. I got back in gear and lost 2 pounds. It is so hard but at the same time when I eat the right foods it seems so easy. Hang in there! I know you will lose that 10 pounds by March 15.

I've had 3 fills for a total of 4.5 cc's in my 10 cc band. I had great restriction after the fill and I still have restriction. The restriction isn't as good as the 2 weeks after the fill but it still keeps me from overeating. I've lost 26 pounds since 11/20 and I am very happy with that. My weight loss would be much better if I would exercise more. That is my weak spot at the moment. I hope this fill gives you great restriction!

It would be great to meet someone with a band. It would make life a little easier. They would understand why I can't eat certain foods and can't drink beer. They would understand the commitment I've made to this lifestyle. It is nice to dream!

I have very little restriction during PMS and have a ton of cravings. Even with no restriction I manage to maintain my weight. During TOM I have great restriction and tend to lose weight and before the band I would always gain during TOM. Last week during TOM I didn't lose anything but I stayed the same and never gained.
