Hi everyone, I had surgery on 9/2/14. I chose not to tell most of my family because I knew their opinion on it. I figured what they didn't know they couldn't argue about it with me. I wanted this to be a positive journey, not about defending myself. So just my husband,, daughter, son-in law and Grand son. So far everything has been positive I go for my two week check up and nut appt tomorrow yea something to finally eat instead of just drinking. Good luck to all of you.

Hey guys! My name is Angela and I'm in the beginning stages of my sleeve journey. I'm going through Dr Walton at the Weightwise Bariatric Clinic. I've had my initial consult with him, my blood work and my EKG. Currently waiting on my sleep study.

I was 380.5 at my initial weigh in and almost passed out. I knew I was heavier than I've ever been but I had no idea I'd gotten that bad.

So here I am, trying to lose 38lbs as quickly as possible. I work in retail so my busiest time of the year is quicky approaching and I can't take time off after mid-November. I'm trying like crazy to hit that goal by mid-October so I can have the surgery the first week of November. If I don't, I'll have to wait until January. The sooner I can do this, the better.

Skimming through this thread, I see several folks have used the same clinic. Any advice? Concerns? How strict are they with that pre-op? Like, let's say I lost 30 by my goal date, would they go ahead and schedule me?

I've rambled on enough. Lol! Looking forward to getting to know some of you folks and having some online support. :-)
Hi Angela, I had my sleeve with dr Walton on 9/2/14. Hope your surgery goes as well as mine did, I've had no problems. I love all the staff at weight wise. I'm sure you'll do much better than me you're younger and smarter wish I would have done this years ago.

No surprise I'm sure but this is the first time I've ever written about this subject . It wasn't hard, but not a diarrhea type of bowel movement either. I had been dreading this but really no pain. Next one wasn't till about three more days,I guess with all liquids you can't expect much . Hope your doing good. I have my two week post op check and nutrition class on 9/16. I can't wait to start having anything besides liquids especially the Protein Shakes.

It was 3 days after surgery for me.

I was sleeved on 9-2, spent one night in hospital. Pretty un eventful Pain wasn't bad other than when getting up out of bed. Seems like each day the fluids go down a little easier. I'm looking forward to the next stage of eating, no more liquid diet please . Today was my first day back at work. It went easier than I thought. Good luck to all the September sleevers.

I'm very excited about this stage, I'm sick of Protein Drinks and pop cycles . Anything will be a nice change, today has been my worst day as far as being hungry, maybe because the weather turned cooler who knows.

I had my surgery on 9/2. As part of the list of things to buy before surgery gas x strips were one of the items, they really helped plus walking. I hope you get some relief soon.
