  1. I am choosing the sleeve, because I don't want to deal with malabsorbtion, and don't want my insides rearranged. My surgeon no longer does the band, so its between the sleeve and bypass. I also like the bit slower weight loss, hoping that will help my skin recover better.
  2. Wish I could, but I have my endoscopy scheduled that day!
  3. My sister got weird about it at first. I think because she was worried about it. Its major surgery.. and to be fair, things can happen.. Finally I just told her to stop being a b****! I also think because she's always been smaller (but she is overweight) that I will then be the "skinny" one. My friend who has been through it said that by me doing this, she will be forced to sort of face her own food demons. So, after my mom and sister acted weird.. I had told a few people, and got mostly support (or a bunch of have you tried this? What about this?), I decided I'm not really telling anyone else, and I'll just tell people after, when they start noticing. Its a very personal choice. If you want to tell the world, and be the face of bariatric surgery, then go ahead, otherwise, you don't have to tell anyone at all.
  4. I always suggest for people to look into the whole 30.. no processed, no junk, no sugar or grains.. you will really figure out that there are things we shouldn't be eating! I love greek yogurt.. and hate kefir.. *shudder*
  5. Any updates? I'll probably have a date in late February or the beginning of March.. I have two more NUT appts, this Friday, and the 30th and I have my endoscopy on the 29th. Then I'll be put in for insurance approval, which they said takes about 2 weeks and then i'll be scheduled for my final appointment with the surgeon, which they said my surgery is scheduled two weeks from that appt. Excited.. nervous.. ready..
  6. @@Brians147 good advice! I've got the exercise down, but I cannot wait to be able to take it to the next level.
  7. Thanks for updating your pics! wonderful job. So sorry to hear about your son, that must be really hard. Big hugs.
  8. Well, I had to redo my sleep study from 10 years ago, and low and behold! I no longer have sleep apnea! I was really surprised. I'm thinking the higher intensity exercise I've been doing has changed it for me!
  9. haha! I'm gonna be like hey.. while you in there.. go ahead and take some fat too.
  10. Not everyone has the skin.. but good news.. you can save or finance! I wouldn't let that stop me.
  11. Thanks for the advise! I actually already get rashes under my big boobs from exercise! So I'll mention it.
  12. I agree with all points.. Most likely IT band.. and definitely get the minimal type shoes. I had horrible shin splints, until I switched.
  13. What about sugar free jello or sugar free pudding?
  14. I think she did it so she could feel better about herself or something! Next time I would say NO THANKS.
  15. Aww, hope its ok! Are your incisions still that red? Are you on an antibiotic?

  19. I was in seriously good shape, got pregnant and was sick the whole time, then basically did nothing for a whole year and a half.. UGH. When I started back to the gym it was SO HARD. I had LOST EVERY SINGLE gain I had made.. it was upsetting, and humbling.
  20. Cause they want accolades for doing it the "harder" way and being more successful than you.
  21. Amazing. I've wanted to start doing tri's, and my weight is holding me back, I can't wait until I have the sleeve.
