10 Weeks Post VSG - Struggling - Eating more - Confession.
Ditch that muffin.. eat a piece of chicken with your eggs.. or some other Protein. Herbal teas are good to me, try those. That is hectic. I can't even imagine a 3 hour commute.. the best idea then is to make one day your food prep day, and pack it all for the week. so all you have to do is grab everything and go. oh, and as far as Water.. try making bone broth and drinking that..

Liquid diet
You need protein. If you can't have shakes, they have some dissolvable that you can put into your broth..

An Open Letter to Dr. H from the “The Biggest Loser”
Well, their methods aren't that great either.. They demoralize people on their show, and how safe are they? It cannot be safe to go from no exercise to exercising 20 hours a day..

For those of you who don't know your date...
I don't have the answer.. but once you are back to a normal calorie range (i.e. not under 1000calories a day) you should really be absorbing it through food (with the sleeve).. That's my own perception.

How to ask for 6 days off at work
"I have to have surgery in 2 weeks. I plan on being off 6 days, then can come back after" "Surgery? Why? What surgery?" "I would rather not discuss it"

Do you miss anything about being fat?
This is a real topic, cause I've read a few articles about being on the other side and the downsides to being fit and thin. I'm going to be uncomfortable with comments.. I know I am fat for a couple reasons.. one of them so that I don't get attention.

Could very well be hormones.. when we lose weight, stored up hormones are released (estrogen).

Having a hard time on pre-op diet.. will I fail with sleeve?
I'm just on the 6 month required nutrition plan. It has definitely been eye opening. I notice that I am a very emotional eater and eating definitely affects my moods.. I just keep messing up, although I am staying the course. I've always been good with exercise, I actually exercise a lot.. its just the portions.. and then.. my nutritionist advised that I should go for the RNY.. which threw me for a loop because I've been planning the sleeve the whole time. I'm just wondering if this will make a difference, because I'm terrified I go through all this and end up back at at square one in a few years. I want this weight gone.. but I'm just always hungry! Massive appetite.. but learning to question whether i'm really hungry, or am I just bored.. or emotional.. or PMSing.. and of course all the stress from getting ready for th surgery doesn't help either! It is helpful to see people who struggled that have been successful though. Now I just need to decide.. do I go the full monty with the RNY or stick with the sleeve.

Having a hard time on pre-op diet.. will I fail with sleeve?
I haven't done that great on the pre-op diet. I have two more NUT visits. I've lost about 10 pounds total since September.. Am I going to fail at the sleeve? I know what to do, and how to do it. I exercise a lot.. but I find myself eating things I'm not supposed to.. does this mean I can even succeed with the sleeve?

Netflix what are you watching? Which series do you love!?
Right now I'm watching Being Human.. I also loved The Borgia's.. not the Netflix version, but the showtime version.

For those of you who don't know your date...
Depends on how long you have to see the NUT. I had to do 6 visits. I could do one a month or twice a month. I ended up doing mostly once a month, with the last 3 appts every 2 weeks. You have to complete all your pre-Op tests, and get whatever clearances they require (mine required cardio, which I had to do an echocardio, stress test.. and pulmonology, which required a sleep study and a breathing test.. blood tests.. I have to do an endoscopy.. a psych clearance.. I thought I'd be done in 4 months.. but my friend said probably more like 6-8 months, and my first appointment was in September, and I should be scheduled for March.
