  1. Yes this is true. But it depends on the person. I started off with a BMI over 60 and a net weight of 400+ pounds so I think I will continue to shed at a more rapid weight than someone starting off with a BMI of 40. Plus adding exercise (long brisk walks) helps too. It will be very interesting to see where I am in 90 days. Im pretty excited and motivated thus far! Plus if it doesnt slow down I would weigh 0 pounds at the end of 4 months I started at 314.. it still will slow down.. some people lose it all in 6 months.. others take 18 months.. I'm just saying that you wont' continue to lose 40 pounds a month. I've lost 40 in 2 months.. and workout very rigorously..
  2. Boy, that puts it into perspective, I divided mine and I'm losing an average of .80 pound a day!
  3. Advice on long bike rides? If I do a 15+ bike ride I can feel myself stalling out and running out of energy.. I've seen Gu and other things like that, but are they too sugary? I don't care for Protein shakes while working out. I prefer Water. The shakes are took thick and chalky..
  4. @@LeeRN @@Jimetta It will move! Keep going.. I had to increase calories to 800 to get mine moving.. My stall lasted 22 days!
  5. Sounds like the 3 week stall! I just came out of mine 2 weeks ago.. It will start moving again.. and 51 pounds is amazing!! Just keep going. I got frustrated and started thinking that I was failing.. but then once I increased my calories, per my NUT, it totally started going again. I hope you do too.. I'm just about 7 weeks out and I feel amazing.
  6. It will move! I was surprised to see that I've lost 5 pounds since Saturday, after no loss for 22 days, and even up and down 2 pounds during that time. Start moving a little more.. Get your heart rate up a bit more than walking.
  7. I'm all for them leaving! #bye!
  8. I was always hot till I had my kids.. then my temp change.. but its even worse now.. I'm absolutely freezing, always. It can also be a sign of low Iron, so make sure you are getting your iron.
  9. I'm happy to report a 2 pound loss as of last Saturday and then an additional pound as of today, so my stall has finally broken!
  10. Hmm.. I think I would try to keep the talk of weight loss/surgery to a minimum with her.. it sounds like its more of an irrational fear at this point for you.
  11. I was pregnant less than 2 years ago, started the process last September, and they considered my starting weight from the day that I had my first consult in September.
  12. what is your name on mfp? I am Chrystee.
  13. Thanks! I was really getting upset and worried! I work out plenty and work out hard, so I just have that little nagging voice of maybe this wont work, and it scared me!! I keep track on MFP @@heav85 , only because I don't trust myself.
  14. I was back in the gym right after surgery.. finally cleared for everything a couple weeks ago, and loving it!
  15. Phew.. finally after 3 weeks and a day, my stall broke and I was down 2 pounds! yay!
  16. I hope it comes the heck on! LOL
  17. Way too much. I had several clothes and pajamas, kindle, soap and shower stuff, phone and charger, pillow.. The only thing I truly needed was a comfy outfit to wear home, my phone and charger and my pillow for the ride home. I didn't even open my bag for anything else. I was just an overnight stay, but even getting on my phone was a lot.
  18. It really depends. I had my first vomiting dump last night, because I was overhungry and I ate really fast..
  19. I've found the best sources of protein: fish, shrimp, then chicken.. I was surprised at how much protein a piece of flounder has.. with no fat, and low calories. lots of greek yogurt (watch the sugar content) and cottage cheese.
  20. Agree. Have a quality snack. Protein.
  21. Pre-surgery, my gf and I went on a cruise.. I actually lost 10 pounds.. we worked out in the morning.. ate healthy, small meals, and stayed up all night dancing! Had a blast!
  22. I have PCOS, so I understand the struggle.
