Sleeved on 9/4. Had to spend two nights in hospital die to nausea and vomiting ( so bad I was vomiting blood). Swallowing test was fine so I got to come home. First few days were horrible. Not able to drink hardly anything. Finally it is getting better. Trying to sip all day long. I do notice that I do better first part of day. Check up is Wednesday 9/17 to get out staples. 31 lbs down so far.

Yeah I had the scopolamine patch too. Anesthesia makes my extremely sick anyway. I threw up the first two after surgery even though they were giving me all they could. It is getting much better finally though

I'm going through the same thing. I'm 7 days post. I have found that if I just sip (barely enough in more mouth to know it's there) I don't get that feeling. Hope this helps.

U are doing great then. Hope it continues for you. I seem to be a little better today. Hope I am now on the upswing.

I came home with zofran and phenergan. I have been taking them both quite often. I'm a nurse so I have been checking my skin turgor and other signs of dehydration daily. So far I think I'm ok. Just very tired. Today seems to be a lot better.

Marilyn a PPI is heartburn acid reducer. I did have to stay an extra night due to nausea as well. Today is the first day I have tried anything but Water or tea. Thanks for all the advice. I hope ur journey gets easier too.

I did manage to eat half a scrambled egg and a Popsicle this morning. So maybe I'm finely on the upswing.

Question. I am 6 days post op and still having extreme nausea. I can barley drink 2 ounces a day. Any tips or suggestions?
