Where did you go and have your surgery done at? Did your insurance help w/ any of it or was you self pay?

You lost 100 pounds in a year?!?!? That is great!!! Did you have a hard time doing it? I am looking into getting my band by the end of the year .... I hope and pray that I can do as good as you. You should be one proud woman!! Pat yourself on the back!!!! :banana

Did you have to pay to have the port replaced? How much?

I have noticed when reading some posts that they are CLOSED and have a lock by them ...... why are they closed and who decides to close them?

I went on their website (http://www.kaysnaturals.com/products.html) this morning and also ordered the sampler box. I can't wait to try them. They have alot of other products on there to. I am planning on getting banded before the end of the year. I live in St. Joseph, MO but would love to get together w/ some of you KS people. Let's try and plan a gathering. I know I ant to have a support system built in before I have the surgery.

Thanks all for your replys! I am a HUGE, HUGE Diet Coke drinker here. I drink a full 2 liter bottle EVERY day ...... sometime more!! If I don't have it I go crazy. I am hoping to have ny band surgery before the end of the year. I sure hope I can make it w/out the pop!!!!!

I was told by someone that once you have the lap surgery that you can no longer have soda pop of ANY kind ...... not even diet. Is this true?

I have noticed that some of you have posted about the size of your bands ..... I was not aware that there were different sizes ....... how do you know what size to have placed. I am in the researhing phase of all this. Thanks, Sherri

Has anyone here used Dr. Rodriquiz before? Was it good or bad? Please tell me ANY info you have about him. His price is only $7,300 .... which seems very cheap to me. It is so cheap that it worries me. Thanks in advance, Sherri

Can you tell me the doctor's name that you have been looking into at Topeka? Do they have any 'meetings' for you to attend to learn more about the lap band surgery?

I just joined this site yesterday. I spent 5 huors on her just reading posts!!!! I am wanting to have the surgery done before the end of the year. I will be self pay. I would like to have it done here in Missouri. If anyone here has had it done in this state, any info would be appreciated from you. I have been heavy my whole adult life. I have put on 50 punds the last year and I am weighing at 325 right now. I HAVE got to do something before this weight kills me. I have NO enery to do anything. We have adopted 3 young children (ages 7,7 & 8) and I am not a young mama at all ..... I ma 43. I want to be able to do fun things w/ my kids but I can't. I also have 3 graddaughters (all under the age of 1 1/2) and I want to be arounf to see them go up. I have been on SOOOO many diets that I cannot list them all. I was on the Phen-Fen for a while and had great weight loss w/ that ...... before they took it off the market. I look forward to getting to know you all better!!! Hugs, Sherri
