    really struggling

I can't add much to what everyone has already said except to agree with them this will get better u can eat things again just a little tho when u feel full it won't seem like a big deal u will see this hard part to get past sucks but remember why u did this good health mobility less meds being able to do things nice clothes will all be better than any pizza chicken wing potato chip candy bar ice cream etc someone once asked me if u have a scoop of ice cream or a pint do u feel more satisfied if u eat the pint? Or are u just as happy with the scoop I realized I wasn't happier eating the whole container more isn't better it's just adding pounds and problems some is better then none u will see it will get better don't try to eat things that aren't on your approved list u may hurt yourself before u heal

Anyone receive a call from insurance nurse

I have blue cross blue shield in ny I also got this I was told it was part of what they provide in regards to bariatric surgery she asked about my interactions with the hospital staff bloodwork follow up meds if any were added or stopped how much u were eating drinking using the bathroom etc I got the impression it was done as sort of a way the insurance company could be sure we get good follow up care and don't get dehydrated or get infections etc therefore not getting re admitted and costing them more money I've seen what they paid out for my surgery so far $ 28,000 plus I'm sure that hurts lol

    Today was a hard day

Hi I'm almost 6 weeks post op I too felt awful for a few weeks weak and shaky and everything tasted awful etc it does get better just a few days ago I was able to drink water with ice and it tasted awesome lol for a while it tasted like metal eww I was allowed to water down baby fruit juice half and half that helped a lot some flavored teabags helped broth etc warm drinks seemed easier for the first three weeks I also had to force myself to get up and do things small chores walking around house etc for a few mins at a time gradually working up to longer amounts of time it really kicked my butt as I'm not used to sitting or lying around and feeling like I wanted to sleep 20 hours a day but it did get better I hope u feel better soon
  10. Scared and unsure

@@Roxie Malone you don't owe anyone explanations for a decision to try and stay healthy and prevent future problems your the one who will live with the effects if u don't do it and get heavier etc ppl can't understand things they don't experience don't listen to ppl who speak to u this way if someone lost weight without surgery kudos to them it doesn't make u a failure surgery is a tool not a cure I'm nearly 6 weeks post op I smell things I want but know I shouldn't eat etc the food u put in is up to u the want will be there they just think if u simply eat less excercise etc blah blah well if it were that simple no one would be overweight it's an addiction like drugs and alcohol hmmm rehab would be out of bussiness if only ppl wouldn't drink or take drugs so think of it as rehab for yourself and tune out the rest I find that usually the ones who criticize are also the ones who whisper about and point at the overweight ppl and likely any other flaw they can find
