    Sugaraholic

Thank you so much for your positive feedback. I guess it is fear of the unknown. Its just weird to think for almost 30 years these foods have been my toxic friends and now im saying goodbye.

    I dont know skinny

I hear you. Im in the same boat. My doctor guaranteed that I would be 165lbs a year from after my surgery, as long as i follow the rules. I was that when I was 14. I cant wrap my head around that. The two people that I know have had it wish they would of done it sooner. Its going to be great! Look forward to how aeesome you will look and feel in a few months!! Good luck!

    Relationships

Just wondering by having rny if your relationship with your spouse has changed? Ive been heavy for 30 of my 40 years so this will be life changing for me in all ways. My husband and I just got married a few months ago, and for the last 3 years its been a food and drinking fest. Hes very supportive, and positive about my surgery. He also says hes going to change for the better too, by running again, and trying to lose weight with me. The thing is ive heard this so many times before with us. We workout lose a little bit, and then give up and go bavk to our old ways. I am so ready for this surgery, ready to make life altering changes, I just hope my new marriage will survive.
  8. For those of you who have had surgery are you going to support groups or to counseling? Especially if you are an emotional eater, such as most of us are, are these groups helping?
  9. Hi...im new to this forum and new yo this whole WLS thing. Just looking for advice on knowing you found a great doctor, how long is the wait til surgery, and anything else I need to know that would be helpful?
