    I need help PLEASE

Usually your surgeons office will let you know what type of liquid diet to start. Some only have to do low carbs so it really depends. Good luck on your journey
  2. @ MrsB2007 Lol that is so funny,& that is so me ha ha, I talk about it just about every single day. I know I drive my husband crazy the closer I get the worse I get. I look at my little check list paper at least once day, I'm on the internet youtube videos blogs etc. I've done all my requirements except I have one last appointment on Dec 16th this coming Tuesday which was part of my 6 months diet documentation evaluation, then I'm done, and they can submit the auth request to my insurance. I can't wait until Tuesday I want the weekend to fly by lol. I can't imagine how I'm going to be while I'm waiting to see if it's approved, I'm thinking like did I do everything right etc etc. LOL..
  3. @jmg1263 Hey just checking in on you, how are you feeling?
  4. I'm starting to get nervous too, I was thinking the other day as the closer it gets, do I really want to do this. It's getting so close the only two things I have left to do are my 4 hour pre-op class on Dec 8th, & my last 6 months diet documentation visit on Dec 16th, then they will submit to my insurance for auth request which takes 5 days. I pray I know something before Christmas.
  5. How exciting prayers sent your way. Keep us posted when your able too.
  6. Question: Does anyone every call there Surgeons office with questions regarding approval steps? I've called twice with different questions but they sound a little irritated. I have my last appt for my 6 months diet documentation on 12/16/14, I want to ask them how long after that will it take for them to schedule my 4 hour pre-op class. I'm wondering is that being to obsessive? I'm anxious but I don't want to be a bug lol Thanks

    Just starting

Who is your insurance? A year is long to wait, but if you really have to wait that long, just think no matter what the year is going to go by regardless so you might as well do all the requirements, you don't want to regret when the year is up if you didn't do it. My insurance is Blue Shield of California I had to wait 6 months, my last diet documentation visit will be 12/16/14 at first I was like it's going to take forever but it flew by. Then I have my 4 hour pre op class and they will submit authorization rqst to my insurance.

    I GOT A DATE!

@MisforMimi When I go to my visits they don't really advise me at all of what I should be eating all they do is ask what do you eat, I'm like okay lol you would think they would have helped me. Even when I met with the dietician she just went over very quickly of things I wouldn't be able to eat and said they will go into detail at 4 hour pre -op class. But my last visit the nurse did say to let go of sugar/carbs and eat Protein and veggies sip on Water all day. Did you find it hard though letting go of carbs and sugars? That seems so hard for me
  9. I have my last visit for my 6 months of weigh in/ diet documentation on December 16th, I'm so excited. Afterward my surgeon office will schedule my 4 hour pre-op class then they will submit authorization request to my insurance. I was wondering once the auth was submitted to your insurance how long did it take for any of you all to get a surgery date? I was really hoping for surgery in December but it sounds like it may take a little longer. Thanks

    I GOT A DATE!

I had to do the 6 months supervised diet too. I was wondering did you eat a certain way during that time? I do here and there but I still eat pretty bad I'm trying to work on changing that My last appt. visit is December 16th. then I have to go to a 4 hour pre-op class after they will submit for authorization to my insurance company. BTW congratulations on your surgery date it's like I wish it was now but at the same time I know when it comes i'm going to be so nervous lol

    Any Born Again Christians?

I'm a Christian, personally I think the way it may interfere with being Christian, is that some other Christians believe " well if you believe in God and your a Christian then you should have faith and believe that God will help you lose the weight without having to do surgery it, or your not trusting God". I've heard that plenty of times, like I'm not believing in God enough to help me if I chose to have weight loss surgery. I don't agree with that but it seems that a lot of other Christian's think about it that way, which sometimes makes me question if I'm not having enough faith in God, if I decide to have surgery.
