I have bcbs peehip and the first 90 days after surgery there are no copays. Also like Jason I don't payfor fills for the first year. Also a week after my fill I called about getting a second fill asap. I was told that it was normal not have restriction after the first fill. Should I have pressed the issue?
  2. Hey girl! Don't give up. Once you get your insurance information call Cigna and ask if they cover. Your husband will come around eventually. I am here for you if you need a shoulder to lean on. I will be your cyber cheerleader!

  3. Alright! Who is that precious baby in your avatar? As we say where I am from," he is just too cute to poot!"
  4. Alright slim! Thanks for joining me. I have not started week 3 this week. My schedule has been sabotaged but I am determined to complete it this week! Keep me posted...

  8. Rodriquez, that was very sincere of you. I think we are all high off of emotions right now. Thank you for clarification. I wish that all of the world's misunderstandings could be solved in the manner in which you just did. A sincere and simple "my bad". We are all in this together....

I'm glad that you were joking but today has been very emotional for me. See, Obama represents so much where I am from. Not only is he intelligent and dignified but he is symbolic of how far we have come as a nation. I am just tired of people disrespecting this man and he has not even had a chance to prove himself and that's not right. I just feel like he is being sooo disrespected; I am taking it personal. Sorry Beth if I am testy. But....I come from a people that were bought and sold and this means so much. Please try to show a little more compassion for your fellow Americans that have a connection with this candidate on so many other levels that have nothing to do with politics.
  12. I have been reading the political threads and posts with mixed emotions. Thank you fellow Americans that voted for Obama. There was not one race or ethnicity responsible for this victory. It took all of us pulling together for the common good. Now I have to get some things off of my chest: There are McCain supporters that wish to debate whether or not Obama is black or if he is black enough to be called an African American. One even suggested that Obama was not an African American in the common use of the term. Am I being punked? First of all Obama has never tried to appeal to one race over the other so why are we making it an issue? Secondly, there were laws in this country that said that a person with a drop of black blood was black, not white. AA have abided by this for centuries because it was forced upon us. Now, the suggestion is that we should not claim him because he is biracial? puhleese Then you suggest that he will be assassinated. I pray protection for Obama but he is not the first president that will have a plot on his life. As if that somehow diminishes his qualifications. Then, you jump all over those who say that this is the first time that they have been really proud to be an American. How dare you! I live in Alabama aka bombingham the place that has a neighborhood known as dynamite hill. Where my mother did not have the rights or respect of a dog. As a matter of fact the police chief of that era, Bull Connor, had a dog named nigga that he turned on blacks. I live not too far from a town called Cullman where my grandfather told stories of signs that said "If you can read nigga run if you can't read still run. " Oh but you say that was the past? No we live with racism everyday. So hell yeah Today is the first time that I feel like this country is my home. That it respects me. You dare say that it is the fault of the Katrina victims for not evacuating?! Are you kidding me? Now you want to disrespect Obama's accomplishment and mock people like Oprah and Jackson crying. Are you kidding me? I am so disgusted right now. You will cut down Barack before he has even taken office but you won't admit that he wasn't the sorry mutha that caused this nation's problems. I will not sit back quietly while you attemp to disrespect the American people and the choice that we have made. God Bless President Obama!

    Boo-yah!

Barack Obama is the first Black President of the USA! Someone e-mailed this to me: After watching the final debate the other night, it dawned on me that Obama could actually win this thing. If that happens, there will be a lot of people (some of our co-workers included) who will be afraid that an Obama presidency will usher in the end of days. They'll be watching us on November 5th (the day after the election) for signs of the end times. To keep the peace and keep a lot of folks from getting nervous, I think we should develop a list of acceptable celebrations and behaviors we should probably avoid - at least for the first few days: 1. No crying, hugging or shouting "Thank you Lord" - at least not in public 2 No high-fives - at least not unless the area is clear and there are no witnesses 3. No laughing at the McCain/Palin supporters 4. No callingin sick on Nov 5th. They'll get nervous if too many of us don't show up. 5. We're allowed to give each other knowing winks or nods in passing.Just try to keep from grinning too hard. 6. No singing loudly,we've come this far by faith..(it will be acceptable to hum softly) 7. No bringing of barbeque ribs or fried chicken for lunch in the company lunchroom for at least a week (this may make us seem too ethnic) 8. No Cupid Shuffle during breaks (this could indicate a little too much excitement) 9. Please no "Jeffersons" music(we are going to try to remain humble) 10. No doing the George Jefferson dance (unless you're in your office with the door closed) 11. Please try not to yell----BOOOO YAH! 12. Just in case you're wondering, doing the running man, cabbage patch, or the Roger Rabbit on the highway is 100% okay.

  18. My faith is restored in humanity. When people are given the opportunity to do the right thing, they will. God Bless America! I am so proud tonight...
  19. Thanks san! I didn't start exercising until 6 weeks post op. I probably could have started sooner. I ate fast food today (Milo's Hamburgers) It was so not worth it. Plus I didn't go to the gym. Tomorrow is a new day...
  20. Not all African Americans are descended from West Indian slaves. Many slaves came directly from West Africa (after stopping at ports through out the Caribbean , of course). West Indian slaves were not encouraged to have have children. Their single lot in life was to be worked to death (this was considered the most brutal type of slavery). It was cheaper to buy new slaves from Africa. Slaves brought to North America were bought, sold, and bred to work and have offspring. It was too expensive to buy slaves from Africa. Although this clarification is not relevant to the topic, I had to interject it because I got tired of reading how you are an African -American if you are a descendant of the descendants of West Indian slaves. Just because people post things here and call them facts does not mean that they are indeed so.
  21. I could care less that you are a conservative and I am definitely not trying to persuade you to believe otherwise. As far as not liking you, I don't know you. I only know how you represent yourself through your posts.

    I am gaining weight

I am learning to be very patient. I had my first fill 2 weeks ago and I haven't lost a pound. Plus I exercise 3 x a week. I know that it won't always be this way. At least I am not gaining which is a victory in itself.

    I'm a Loser Y'all!!!

Congratulations Nik! Glad to hear that you are recovering so well. Keep us posted on your progress.
  24. Gadget, this thread was a more pleasant place to be while you were away today. If bjean, beth, and myself have moved on, why can't you? You are right, it was a misfire. It was not meant for Beth or Bjean. It was originally meant for you. Poser-one who pretends or poses as something else. Ex. posing as a person who has had wls or is interested in wls but really likes to engage in conflict and talk plenty of cyber bullshiggity! I bet that didn't misfire.
