Afib after surgery
I had never had afib but after RNY my heart rate went up to 188, very scary. After several tests and another surgery to verify no leak, my doctors found a blood clot on my lung(pulmonary embolism). I am now on a blood thinner.
-
Scared!
My throat only hurt for a few hours. My dr was checking for anything that looked abnormal so he knew before surgery what was there. I ended up having reflux.

Surgery date Sept. 30th
Well, my actual RNY was a success but I am still currently in the hospital. After surgery my blood pressure and heart rate went very high. After several test and another surgery to verify there was not a leak it was determined I have a small blood clot in my lung. I am on blood thinners and the doctors are very confident the clot will b absorbed back into y body. So I am hoping to get to go home within the nxt few days.
